BEAUTY trends come and go but one that has stuck around is the passport makeup trend.
TikToker Georgia Barratt showed off her routine last year and women flocked to copy it in the hopes it would make their passport photos look much better.

We can understand why – passport photos never seem to capture your best side so it only made sense for Lydia Hickman to try it for herself.
However, the US-based beauty was left ‘humbled’ when she got the photos back.
Taking to social media, the brunette beauty revealed she was going to copy Georgia’s makeup routine for a cute passport photo.
The clip showed her doing the finishing touches, applying lip gloss before heading to get her photo taken.
However, it seemed the routine didn’t work out for Lydia as she shared the end results.
Although she did a full face of glam – her picture failed to pick up her sculpted face.
Instead of looking fresh-faced in the photo Lydia looked furious.
“”The passport makeup…” she wrote as she showed viewers just how good she looked.
“…The passport” she added over the photo, clearly unimpressed her efforts didn’t pay off.
“I look so angry,” she captioned the post.
The clip posted to her TikTok account @lydiahickman has since gone viral with over 75k views and 9,000 likes.
People quickly took to the comments and agreed no matter what they do their passport snaps always look bad.
One person wrote: “I prep so much and it always looks like I got caught in a storm after being awake 72 hours with no food or water.”
“Right?!? So humbled,” replied Lydia.
Another commented: “You look like my math teacher when I ask her a question.”
“I feeeeeeeeel this,” penned a third.
Meanwhile, a fourth said: “But..but why is it mugshot expression.”
“Light makeup is best for passport pics. I look like I’m about to join a gang in mine,” claimed a fifth.
Someone else added: “I look the same and I tried too lol.”
