Madi Prettyman (@chooseyourglow) calls her skin “sensitive AF” in her TikTok bio, which is why she’s always on the hunt for creams and serums that truly work well for her complexion.
And she was thrilled with her latest buy.
“Okay, this actually got rid of my dark spots from acne within a week,” she began in the clip.
Holding up the Dark Spot Correcting Glow Serum from Axis-Y, she said the beauty line is a “very popular Korean skincare brand” that she had heard much about.
“I’ve always wanted to try this one, because it’s one of the best selling brightening serums.”
The best part is, she didn’t have to spend much on it either.
While she bought it on TikTok Shop, it’s available on Stylevana for just $11.
“If you’ve seen my other videos, you know that I like to stay between three and five percent niacinamide, because any more can possibly cause irriation.

“This is five percent niacinamide, so it’s the perfect percentage.”
Going through its ingredients, she noted that because it’s also made of the plant-derived squalene, you get added benefits.
“You’ll get that hydration and moisture as well.”
She said all of the ingredients are “gentle,” so you will brighten your complexion without damaging the skin barrier.
“You’re not using chemical exfoliants to get off that dead skin.”
She rubbed the serum around her lips, nose, and cheeks.
“I really focus a lot on the areas where I do get some dark spots, and it leaves your skin so glassy, which I like as well.”
Viewers were excited to give it a go, and some backed her claim.
“My scarring is so bad on my chin! Gotta try,” one person wrote.
“I LOVE this serum. I used it for two weeks and grabbed it again on sale,” added another.
