VOOPOO Drag 3 is the latest member of the Drag family from Voopoo and comes with new enhanced features, design, and functionality. It features the advanced GENE.FAN Chipset, 5-177W output, and a slew of operation modes so as to suit the needs of a vaper. It is undoubtedly a worthy successor to one of the best-selling vaping devices, the Drag 157W. The Drag vape mod comes in a smaller package featuring a picture of the device inside, age restrictions, contact information, and scratch sticker. Let’s take a detailed look at its features below.
Design and Build
Drag 3 retained some of the original features that made the original version stand while implementing some additional advanced features. The first impression is the leatherette finish on the Drag 3 that catches your eye immediately. It goes all around the device and gives an absolutely comforting and cushiony feeling when you hold it. It comes in a variety of colors and textures, so you can opt for a different leather look and feel. The top has a classic 510 connection with a spring-loaded gold plated pin which can accommodate atomizers up to 25mm in diameter without any overhang. There’s a classic battery door at the bottom and you just apply a bit of pressure and pull it outwards to make it open and push on the door and push it back in to close. The control panel has two drag advanced mods and the fire button is slightly recessed for a comfortable thumb press.
Performance and Features
The Drag 3 uses the Gene. Fan 2.0 chipset that was first used in the Drag Max. This chip is to fire from 5-177W and brings you the RBA, Smart, and TC modes. Smart mode is to use with the Tpp tank that’s included or VooPoo PnP tanks and TPP or PnP coils. The wattage mode prevents the coil from burning by restricting the output and is good for beginners. RBA mode works like your standard wattage mode and is for use with other non-Voopoo sub ohm tanks and RBA. With this mode, you can set wattage as high as you like. For TC, you will have to download the Voopoo software program as well as the Drag 3 firmware update. You can select from two UI’s: Iron and Core. The TPP tank is Voopoo’’s new tank and is quite versatile. It is a pod-style tank compatible with Argus, Argus Pro, Argus X, Drag Max, Drag X & Drag S. The TPP Tank matches the look of Drag 3. The 510 adapter features a band of knurling and two bands of etched lines running all along the airflow control ring. The tank holds up to 5.5ml of ejuice and is bottom filled through a port on the bottom.
Battery
It takes two 18650 batteries and uses the Gene.Fan.2.0 to fire up to 177W. The Drag 3 is powered by two batteries that are not included in the kit. It is not recommended to go with the onboard charging. Also, the USB Type-C port allows a faster-charging speed and smooth process to get your battery recharged.
Conclusion
The Drag 3 proved that VooPoo retains its position as a leading manufacturer in vaping industry. It comes with a great look as well as a lot of features. It feels simple and comforting giving a nice experience. Head for the vape shop to give it a shot!
