Wendy (Susan Cookson) seemingly got tired of her humdrum life with Bob Hope.
After finding out that Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) was a published author of murder mysteries, the nurse shared some of her ideas and the pair decided to work together on a novel.
But this meeting of the minds eventually escalated in a shocking surgery romp and Wendy was awash with guilt.
Unable to get rid of the feeling after betraying Bob, Wendy put an end to both her affair and literary collaboration with Liam.
However, she soon rushed back to the village GP when he appeared to recruit Lydia Dingle to replace her.
Wendy was thus keen to pick up where they had left their book… and to reignite their affair, much to Liam’s surprise.
Little did she know that Victoria was on to her and her romance with Liam was soon rumbled.
But will Victoria knowing her secret be enough for Wendy to remain faithful to Bob?
Coming up next week on ITV, Victoria thinks the affair is over but a meeting of the lovers reveals they are furtively excited to continue their affair.
Wendy hopes their fun can continue but will Victoria figure out what she’s really up to?
