A CHEF has ended up in a wheelchair after she went on a first date with someone she met on a dating app.
Even though she spent a year recovering from her injuries, her date wasn’t hurt at all.

Kiaha (@kiahakurek) shared the story with over 18,000 TikTok followers.
“I went on date with this guy in 2012 that I met on Plenty of Fish,” she said.
“He sounded like a nice dude, offered to pick me up, take me to dinner and a movie and I’m like that seems safe enough.”
She had reservations about getting into his car but her date insisted, saying he had just restored it and was proud of it.
“Against my better judgement I agree,” she said.
The day of the date arrives and more issues arise: “I get into the car and I realize he doesn’t have a chest belt, he only has a lap belt,” she said.
“I’m like you’re being paranoid, just let it go, we’re going less than two miles from your home.”
After dinner, the two return to the car to drive to the movies about a quarter mile away.
“We’re stopped at a blinking yellow arrow to take a left and he just pulls forward, panics midway, and then stops and I turn to look at him and I’m like, why are you stopping?” she said.
She turned to her right and saw headlights and the next thing she knew, she was unconscious.
“I remember thinking to myself, this is how I die,” she said.
When she woke, she found out that a Jeep had hit the car on her side, taking out the window.
Not only was there blood in her eyes impairing her vision, but she had shattered her femur and pelvis, broken all of her ribs, and lacerated her liver.
Before the surgery, a nurse attempted to move Kiaha while she was on zero pain medication.
Angry and in pain, Kiaha punched the nurse to prevent her from moving her as she waited for surgery.
“I was out for about seven hours while they tried to reconstruct my femur, my pelvis, and stopped my liver from bleeding out,” she said.
Post-surgery, she was told that she had to be in a wheelchair for at least a year.
“I did not hear back from my date at all not until three weeks later and I found out…” she said.
She took a breath as she prepared herself to reveal what she had learned.
“I cannot believe this is the twist that happened, this kid, not man, had lied about his age on Plenty of Fish, said that he was 24 while I was 25,” she said.
“No no, he was 19, I nearly died to go on a date with a teenager.”
People took to the comments to share their thoughts on her date.
“I would have contacted an attorney IMMEDIATELY for civil and medical costs,” said one commenter.
“Still wondering why he just stopped in the middle of the road,” said another.
“What injuries did your date sustain?” asked one curious commenter.
“A cut on his head,” Kiah said dryly. “That was it.”
