Sharon Osbourne has hit back at Amanda Holden, after the Britain’s Got Talent judge had called her “bitter and pathetic” for attacking Simon Cowell.
Holden had made the comments in an interview with the Daily Mail, defending her boss and fellow judge after Osbourne had spoken out against him during her stint on Celebrity Big Brother.
Osbourne had said that Cowell would “need more Botox” by the time she had finished with him, adding that she was “furious” that he had not renewed her contract for The X Factor, on which Sharon was a judge for seven seasons.
“I hated seeing certain people in a reality show dissing Simon,” Holden responded. “He’s the person who’s given them all the chances, given them a lot of money and a lifestyle they probably wouldn’t have had.”
And now, Osbourne has come out fighting. In a lengthy social media post, she wrote: “I respect the fact that you feel the need to defend your good friend and employer, Simon Cowell, who is also your husband’s employer, or so I’ve read.”

“The truth is, you don’t know me, Amanda or any of my close friends,” she continued. “You know nothing about my history in the music industry, my achievements, the artists I have worked with, the shows that I’ve produced, and my global celebrity. Unlike you, the brand of Sharon Osbourne is known worldwide.”
“I honestly don’t want to seem like I’m bragging, but the truth is my money and success were not due to doing a couple of Simon Cowell talent shows,” she added. “Yes, Simon paid me very well. Probably more than what you’re receiving today, but all of that my darling went on a few handbags.”
Osbourne goes on to cite her accomplishments in the music industry, including producing Ozzfest for 24 years, as well as working with bands including Electric Light Orchestra, Motörhead and Smashing Pumpkins.
“In closing, I must say whenever I have seen you on TV I always thought you were very beautiful and talented,” she added. “However, never make comments about my lifestyle given to me by Simon Cowell. It’s demeaning to me and my husband and all the achievements I have made in my life as you’re making yourself look like an ill informed sycophantic.”
In other Sharon Osbourne news, she recently defended her criticism of James Corden, describing him as “fair game”.
She had previously taken aim at the comedian while on Celebrity Big Brother, calling out his habit of “constantly” name-dropping. “I go to him, ‘I really like your shoes’, and he goes, ‘Yes, Stella McCartney’. I’m like, I didn’t ask you who made them. He constantly, constantly throws out names,” she said.
Speaking on The Osbournes Podcast, her daughter Kelly criticised her for attacking Corden, to which Sharon replied: “That’s fair, I mean, he’s fair game. That fake laugh.”
Last month, Osbourne also hit out at Kanye West, saying he “fucked with the wrong Jew this time”. The rapper had used a Black Sabbath sample without the band’s permission on his album ‘Vultures’ with Ty Dolla $ign.
She went on to brand West as a “disrespectful anti-Semite”, saying that these days he “represents hate”. The Osbournes have also reportedly sent off a cease and desist to West. She added: “The motherfucker’s a pig.”
