South Korean network tvN has announced new details for its upcoming Stranger spin-off, starring Lee Joon-hyuk.
tvN’s upcoming K-drama Good or Bad Dong-jae (literal translation) is a spin-off of the network’s 2017 to 2020 series Stranger. The spin-off will star Lee Joon-hyuk, who reprises his role as corrupt prosecutor Seo Dong-jae.
Good or Bad Dong-jae will follow titular character Seo Dong-jae in the aftermath of Stranger, with his reputation as a prosecutor in ruins. To save his career and future, he takes on a tragic murder case where he toes the line between being a prosecutor and an opportunist.
“This time, we decided to unfold a story focused on Seo Dong-jae, an attractive character who is neither good or evil,” said the K-drama’s production team, as translated by Soompi. “Please look forward to where Dong-jae’s struggle to survive in the world of prosecutors will lead him.”
Aside from Lee Joon-hyuk, it is currently unclear if any other Stranger actors members will appear in the show. The cast for Good or Bad Dong-jae has also yet to be announced.
Good or Bad Dong-jae will premiere in 2024 on tvN, with international availability yet to be announced. Original series Stranger is available on Netflix. Keep tabs on this page for the latest updates.
