Maura Higgins has got some bad news for fans expecting to see her on Love Island All Stars.
The international spin-off which will see Islanders from various editions of the franchise competing in various challenges will be heading to our screens very soon and Maya Jama will be front and centre as host.
While the cast for the series is yet to be confirmed, it’s been reported that Megan Barton Hanson and Curtis Pritchard have joined the programme, which will feature former stars from the UK, US and Aussie versions.
Irish star Maura became a firm fan-favourite when she appeared on the series in 2019, easily bringing us some of the most iconic moments from the show.
And while she recently landed a gig as the social ambassador for the US version of the show, the 32-year-old is over the Love Island experience.
During her latest Instagram Q&A she said: I’m not sure how many times I have to answer this.

‘I’m never going to go back on to Love Island. Like no because I didn’t enjoy myself, it was such an incredible experience, it changed my life, it gave me the platform I have today.
‘But I feel like I’ve done it once and I think once is enough and I’m a bit old for that.’
She continued: ‘I’m not going to go back on the show, I feel like I’m really enjoying what I’m doing… I just don’t really want to go backwards, I want to look forward.
‘Like not saying anything bad about people that would do it again but like each to their own but yeah just not me.’
The boss of Love Island’s production company, Lifted Entertainment, admitted he ‘couldn’t wait’ for the spin-off as he teased viewers what’s in store.
Mike Spencer said: ‘It has been rumoured now for a while but we are thrilled to finally confirm that we are making Love Island: All Stars early next year for ITV2 and ITVX.
‘It’s set to be a must-watch series seeing some of your favourite Islanders from across the years heading back to the stunning South African villa to once again “graft” as their search for love continues. I simply can’t wait.’
Love Island Games premieres on Wednesday November 1 on Peacock.
