Johannes Radebe is in talks to have his inspiring life story turned into a film.
The Strictly Come Dancing star wrote a detailed account of his story so far in his autobiography, Jojo: Finally Home, and it has sparked interest from the movie world.
‘Looking at the way things have turned out now, I could not have dreamt that one day people would be reading about my life story, so every day’s a milestone,’ he proudly shared with Clara Amfo at an event held at Harold Pinter Theatre in London.
He added: ‘But a beautiful thing has happened. The thing I am most looking forward to right now is that we have an opportunity to turn this book into a film,’ The Sun reports.
South Africa-born Johannes, 36, has written about how he ended up on Strictly Come Dancing, and what it took to make it.
He recalled how his mother and late aunt brought him up with ‘passion and strength’ which is why he’s the man he is today.

In his early dancing days, Johannes would sleep in taxis and studio floors, and the star admitted on The One Show how at the time he simply thought this was ‘what it took’ to make it.
Over a year of writing the book – which was released on September 7 – Johannes retraced his childhood steps and chatted to everyone from his old primary school teachers to his mother.
‘The biggest thing was hearing mama talk about things that happened in the past, and hearing her admit to certain things’ recalled Johannes, who dubbed the process both ‘good’ and ‘challenging’.

Realising that as a child he had not fully appreciated his mother’s struggles, Johannes then admitted: ‘And I was just like, “Jo, you should have been kinder to mum.” Because she is just also human and getting through things.’
Johannes is back on the line-up for this year’s Strictly Come Dancing, which begins tonight with the partner reveals!
Ahead of the official launch, speculation has been rife about who is partnered with whom, and clues are being analysed.
