Amy Dowden has revealed she was rushed to hospital on Monday, three weeks after finishing chemotherapy.
The Strictly Come Dancing pro, 33, was diagnosed with breast cancer in May and has since been keeping fans updated with her journey, including undergoing treatment.
Amy, who was hoping to mark her return to the BBC One programme, sadly fractured her foot recently, which put an end to her plans of joining her fellow pros on the dancefloor this series.
She’s now revealed she was rushed to hospital, sharing in a video on Thursday: ‘Hello everyone, unfortunately I’ve had a nightmare this week, seems to be never-ending, and I was rushed into hospital on Monday.
‘It became to our knowledge on Tuesday that I’ve got another blood clot on my lung and they were really worried that the clot was travelling to my heart or effecting my heart. Luckily, it’s not.’
Amy went on to show marks on her hands from where she’d been connected to drips during her time in hospital.

She continued: ‘This was a shock and it just means now I’m really gutted, because I was on blood thinners anyway from the blood clots in my arm and I’ve still got then a blood clot on my lung and because it’s so close to the heart it’s a risk.’
After taking tablets daily, Amy said she’s on blood-thinner injections ‘for the foreseeable’, adding: ‘It’s not nice.’
She went on: ‘I’ve just been really frustrated, I had lots planned this week, voiceovers, just getting my life back, and it just seems to be – like with my foot – as soon as I get it back, something comes.’
‘I think we get into our heads once we finish chemo that’s it, but you learn, it really isn’t,’ Amy added.

‘But I’m home now after a few nights in hospital, and I’ve got the tree up… so it feels cozy,’ she said.
‘Just had another rubbish week and I’m really frustrated, because I guess I was a bit deluded, I thought my hair would start going back way quicker and looking at photos [from a few weeks ago] and I look like I had more hair than I do now,’ Amy continued, saying she thinks she’s still losing hair on her eyebrows and eyelashes.
‘The one’s I’ve got left are just going, and that’s been frustrating and getting me down.’
Amy ended her video giving thanks to the NHS and nurses who looked after her, particularly one who sat next to her hospital bed while she was upset.

‘I’m going to rest up because I want to get back to Amy and doing what I love,’ she concluded.
Amy underwent a mastectomy in July and began chemotherapy earlier this year after doctors discovered more tumours, before ringing the bell to mark her final round of treatment this month.
During her treatment, she shared a clip of her bravely shaving her head after suffering from devastating hair loss, before she chose to make surprise TV appearances without a wig, after encouragement and support from her co-stars.
Strictly Come Dancing continues at 7.25pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
