If you’re not already on board the Kylie Minogue locomotion then it’s not too late because the Aussie pop icon proves she can only get better.
The Tension singer was on top form at an intimate gig at London’s O2 Empire in Shepherd’s Bush on Wednesday, September 27, with some famous faces in the crowd.
Alison Hammond showed her love for Kylie as she enthusiastically waved a t-shirt over fans heads, while dancing with Rylan Clark, Michelle Visage, and Graham Norton.
While celeb spotting and a DJ setlist which wouldn’t have been out of place in Heaven kept the crowd entertained, the energy in the room was palpable.
Lights dimmed, the band walked out, and finally Kylie appeared in a glittering purple suit, kicking things off with number one hit Spinning Around to the screams of adoring fans.
The 55-year-old knows how to put on a show there’s no doubt about it, it’s enjoyable whether you’re a casual fan or have been there since 1988.

Given this Shepherd’s Bush gig was in celebration of her new album Tension, which also got plenty of love, Kylie found the perfect balance between new and old.
Celebrating Tension’s release she looked utterly thrilled as she told the crowd, including Metro.co.uk, that it had been a ‘week full of love and surprises’.
She flawlessly hyped up the entire venue with throwback numbers like Slow, Locomotion, and On a Night Like This, that had everyone singing along and jumping around.
Kylie wasn’t just performing classic hits though as her nearly four decade-long career has seen some major fan favourites in more recent albums.
A stripped back rendition of Say Something, from her 2020 album Disco, got a huge cheer from the crowd with phone lights out and swaying for all the slower songs.

A moment of praise for Kylie’s choreography too as the singer was joined by four dancers and turned it out on every number, not missing a single step or note.
Her longevity in the industry isn’t just down to releasing pop hit after pop hit, she lights up the stage and is a powerhouse vocally.
A real treat for the crowd was the ‘first attempt’ at a live performance of Story, the final song on Tension.
The song features some insane high notes, which she joked were higher than she realised, showcasing Kylie’s incredible vocal range as she hit them no problem.
The crowd understandably let out a gasp and a joyous shout when Kylie nailed the note time after time, only to do it again while preparing for the next number – resulting in another eruption of applause.

Encore time and the crowd was a little too confident she’d return so forgot to cheer – poor form London, are we so used to encores now that the Kylie doesn’t get begged to reappear?
Eventually Kylie stepped back on stage in a new costume inspired by her Padam Padam music video – of course the hit song of the summer had to be performed.
Already crowned one of Kylie’s biggest hits, the song had fans singing along to every word and showing off their best moves as if the Empire was a nightclub.
Taking things back in time, Kylie finished on a beautiful rendition of All the Lovers with her dancers pairing up in a show of solidarity with her massive LGBTQ+ following.
This sparked an emotional ‘aww’ from the crowd, who could feel the love coming from the stage – before a confetti cannon went off and brought back the party atmosphere.
Getting a bit emotional, the princess of pop thanked everyone for supporting her and in a blur the night was over with Kylie proving she really is Unstoppable.
