The show has aired Christmas Specials since 2013 but a new mini-series began earlier this month.
As well as the TV show, Mrs Brown’s Boys has also been made into a film, 2014’s Mrs Brown’s Boys D’Movie.
Then last year, Brendan teamed up with Hollywood superstar Tyler Perry on A Madea Homecoming, where he played Mrs Brown and Tyler as Mabel “Madea” Simmons.
Now, the pair are in talks for a second film outing on Netflix.
Brendan told the Daily Star Sunday: “Madea Homecoming was a huge success, so we are looking at doing another one.
“The idea is for them to go on safari this time. I get on really well with Tyler. We’re good mates.”
The news comes despite the fact the latest series of Mrs Brown’s Boys has been criticised by some viewers.
After one episode, a viewer commented on social media: “Anyone actually find Mrs Browns Boys funny? Can’t believe it’s back again.”
Another added: “I’ve had funnier colonoscopys This is without doubt the s*****t program on TV.”
Meanwhile a third commented: “Who watches #MrsBrownsBoys? Never seen an episode yet the trailers make my skin crawl. It’s just dire.”
But others have loved the show’s return, with one tweeting: “MrsBrownsBoys is the funniest its been in years. You had problems in the family, show, Covid, but good writing is back to normal again.”
Another shared: “Massive fan of the always wildly entertaining @MrsBrownsBoys, with Brendan O’Carroll as the well meaning, wrong in all the right ways Dublin Mammy Agnus Brown. Catching up as the delight of a sitcom continues for another series…”
