KIM Kardashian has once again sparked concerns over her “non-existent waist” following her appearance on the 2024 Met Gala carpet.
Fans are worried the mum-of-four has had “ribs removed” and questioned “where her guts are stored” after she slipped into a jaw-droppingly tight dress for fashion’s biggest event.

The Met Gala theme this year was Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion and, as always, it was hosted at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
Kim’s silver Maison Margiela dress was embellished with metal leaves, flowers and chains – but fans couldn’t take their eyes off her waist.
The 43-year-old gave hourglass a whole new meaning by incorporating an extremely tight corset into her dress.
It comes just a month after fans were worried she had “displaced” her organs after squeezing into a skintight Mugler corset for an Instagram post.
But plastic surgeons have warned against the dangers of prolonged and over-tight corset wearing.
“Wearing corsets for extended periods can lead to a range of health issues, including restricted breathing, digestive problems and even damage to internal organs,” Reza Nasaab, founder for CLNQ, said.
“Contrary to popular belief, organs do not shift permanently when wearing a corset.
“Instead, the soft tissues are temporarily displaced, and the organs are compressed to some degree.
“It’s crucial to approach extreme body shaping practices with caution and prioritise health and well-being over achieving a certain aesthetic.
“Surgery to achieve extreme body shapes also carries risks such as infection, scarring, and long-term health implications.”
Kim is rumoured to have gotten a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) a number of years ago to enhance her hourglass figure.
A BBL is the deadliest surgery around, with more than one death occurring per 4,000 procedures.
It involves plastic surgeons using liposuction to remove fat from other areas of the body and re-injecting it into the thighs and bum.
Despite the rumours and fan speculation, Kim has never publicly acknowledged having such a procedure done.

One doc has explained surgery alone couldn’t have achieved Kim’s body shape on for the Met Gala on Monday night.
The look left hundreds of fans were questioning where her organs and “guts” moved to while in the tight ensemble.
DOC’S WARNING
“When a corset is worn, the tummy contents get pushed up into the chest where the lungs normally take up space,” Naveen Cavale at Real Plastic Surgery said.
“So, breathing can be restricted.
“The lungs are used to a set amount of space to expand and contract in, and they tend not to like the sudden change.
“We see this same thing when we fix big hernias in the abdomen.
Long-term Dangers of Wearing a Corset
Naveen Cavale at Real Plastic Surgery answered some questions about long-term corset wearing
Q: What are the long-term dangers of wearing a corset?
A: “Long-term effects of tight corset wear may include issues including rib deformities, restricted breathing and weakened core muscles,” Naveen said.
“Prolonged compression can also lead to organ displacement and digestive issues too.
“Frequent use may alter spinal alignment and posture, contributing to back pain.”
Q: How can I wear a corset safely?
A: “I wouldn’t outright discourage corset wear, but I’ll caveat that by saying that moderation and proper fitting are crucial,” Naveen said.
“Opt for well-designed corsets that distribute pressure evenly and allow for comfortable breathing and movement.
“Limit wear time and incorporate breaks to avoid prolonged compression.”
Q: Can surgery achieve the same hourglass figure as a corset?
A: “Surgery alone can’t do this,” Naveen said.
“And this look has been achieved since Victorian days, with tight corsets.”
“Suddenly pushing all the guts back to where they should be can put a sudden strain on the breathing, so we have to be careful.
“I have even had a patient go into cardiac arrest, when we were fixing a big hernia.”
LONG-TERM EFFECTS OF CORSETS
Naveen warned that the long-term effects of wearing tight corsets include rib deformities, restricted breathing and weakened core muscles.
“Prolonged compression can also lead to organ displacement and digestive issues too,” he said.
“Frequent use may alter spinal alignment and posture contributing to back pain.
“Opting for properly fitted corsets can mitigate risks, but I’d still recommend keeping using these for a one-off occasion.
“I’d always recommend prioritising comfort and health over aesthetic trends.”
