THE Prince and Princess of Wales have revealed their elegant family Christmas card and a royal whizz claims it is a poignant nod to Diana.
The stylish black-and-white snap of Prince William, Kate Middleton and their three children showed the fashionable family in matching white shirts and dark trousers.

Royal fan @matta_of_fact was quick to point out a possible link to Princess Diana with the photo choice.
She claimed: “They are hearkening very strongly to the nineties in this photo, which, when you think of the royals and the nineties, where do you immediately go… Princess Diana.
“So many black and white photoshoots of Diana exist.”
The royal fan pointed out that Diana and her two boys, Prince William and Prince Harry, had dressed for photoshoots together in a “Ralph Lauren aesthetic” similar to the new Christmas card attire.
She said: “Button downs, jeans, the whole nine.”
In the photo, Princess Charlotte, eight, sits in the centre on a chair, flashing a cheeky grin, with five-year-old brother Prince Louis beside her.
Prince George, ten, wears a £79 Polo Ralph Lauren shirt, standing next to his mother, with dad William smiling proudly behind his family.
The royal fan pointed out Princess Charlotte’s trainers, and said: “I love Princess Charlotte’s sneakers up front.
“That’s a detail that for me, even though this family is very posed here and Prince George is serving face, we’re still allowing our children to be children.
“Love to see details like that.
“We’ve also bumped up the formality quite a bit from last year’s very casual Christmas card that was taken earlier in the year on a summer photoshoot.
“I like stuff like this that looks like it’s more intentional and timeless for a Christmas card.”
The snap was taken by Yorkshire-born photographer Josh Shinner at Windsor.
His previous subjects have included celebrities such as Killing Eve star Jodie Comer and singer Sam Smith.
The fashion snapper was chosen by the royal couple after photographing events surrounding the funeral of the Queen.
The royal festive cards are sent every year to friends, family and staff.
But with tensions running high, it is not certain William’s brother Prince Harry and wife Meghan will be getting one.
Meanwhile, King Charles and Queen Camilla went for something a little more colourful with their own card.
They shared a picture taken on Coronation Day in May in the Throne Room at Buckingham Palace.
The couple are seen side by side in their full regalia in a photo taken by royal favourite Hugo Burnand.
Charles wore St Edward’s Crown and the robe of estate, with Camilla in Queen Mary’s Crown, and her Coronation dress, as they both smiled regally.
Burnand, who was chosen as official Coronation photographer, has been taking pictures of the Royal Family for more than 20 years.
Inside the King and Queen’s cards are the words “Wishing you a very Happy Christmas and New Year.”
It is the couple’s second Christmas card since Charles became King.
Last year’s — ahead of the Coronation — was less formal, with Camilla dressed in green and Charles in a tweed suit in a snap taken at Scotland’s Braemar Gathering.
