Everyone dreams about having beautiful, glowing, flawless skin. But it isn’t that easy now, is it? We’ve curated a list of tips for face beauty that’s gonna work for you and will help you understand what to do to get that perfect skin.
1. Wash your Face regularly, Twice a Day
It’s important to wash the dead cells off your skin. Washing your face twice a day ensures that the dead cells are removed and your body can work on developing the new cells, giving your skin a glowing, fresh look. You may also use an exfoliator, occasionally, as it helps remove dead cells more easily and eases up the process of generating new ones.Â
It is to be noted that over-cleansing has to be avoided. Over-cleansing leads to sensitive skin, and loss of natural facial oil, hence making the skin drier than necessary. Keep in mind to use a face cleanser according to your skin type, and don’t overuse it.
You may also use steaming methods for an effective facial cleaning. For a deep cleanse, pour some boiling water into a bowl, add some lemon juice along with a few drops of rosewater. Hold your face over the bowl, in such a way that steam covers your face. It will loosen your skin pores, help in removing the blackhead and dead dry skin. Afterwards. clean it, and wash your face with normal or slightly cold water to tighten the pores again.
2. Keep yourself Hydrated
Well-hydrated skin equals younger-looking skin, and a lack of water means reduced glow, and increased dullness. It’s considered better to use beauty products that have hydrating formulas. Drink around 8 glasses of water per day to keep the skin well hydrated.
3. Moisturize your face in the Morning & Evening
Moisturizing your face is very important, and the best time for that is after taking a shower and before going to bed. After taking a bath, your skin pores are naturally relaxed and ready to absorb the vitamins, the moisturizer has to offer. It’s recommended to use a moisturizer without a strong fragrance and free from harmful chemicals that are rough on the skin.
Also, whatever moisturizer you choose, apply it to your neck, chest & hands as well. They need to stay moisturized as well.
4. Give yourself a Healthy Diet
Talking about moisture, human skin has a natural way to retain moisture and the essential part of that is Omega-3 fatty acid, which can be found in your salad, walnuts, and flax seeds. Some studies have shown that women who consumed a proper amount of Vitamin B, C, E, and A, from their daily diet, had glowing and healthy skin. Try to include more fruits & vegetables in your diet. Citrus fruits like oranges, green leafy vegetables like spinach, and nuts like walnuts are some foods that help with the regeneration of the skin.
Apart from this, antioxidants present in foods are known to have several beneficial properties. They help guard your skin against harmful ultraviolet radiation and environmental air pollution. So choose foods like berries, green leafy vegetables, tomatoes, and more.
5. Protection from Sun Damage
You should always wear sunscreen when going out. Although it’s quite difficult to remember each and every time you go out, the fact is that you should never leave your house if you haven’t already applied sunscreen on your face. There are many people who feel that they only need sunscreen protection on sunny days or when going to a beach. However, that couldn’t be far enough from the truth. Exposure to the UV rays of the sunlight when doing regular tasks like grocery and driving also harms the skin.
Using facial beauty products and protection creams like sunscreen helps prevent wrinkles, dark spots, skin loosening, and skin cancer. Choose a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or more. This will give you the extra needed hydration. Also, it’s to be remembered that for effective functioning sunscreen needs to be applied after every 2 to 3 hours.
6. Avoid Skin Exposure to the Direct Heat
Along with being careful in the sun, it’s also important to watch out for direct heat. For example, don’t get too close to heaters & fireplaces at our home as they can be very harmful to your skin. It leads to skin inflammation & breakdown of collagen. It’s recommended to stay at least three meters away from the direct heat.
7. Avoid touching your Face
It’s important to avoid touching your face for better skin because touching your face spreads viruses and bacteria, cause facing scarring, wrinkles, and breakouts.
Also, if you get pimples quite often and you’re not in your puberty, then most probably it’s not the acne. It might be you, touching your face with your hands with the dirty hands, causing an infection.
8. Always remove your Makeup before Bed
The removal of makeup before going to bed is of utmost importance. It’s the simplest and pretty much the most required of all the facial beauty tips. Failing to do so, the skin will begin to look wrinkled, dehydrated, and quite dull. When the makeup isn’t removed, it accumulates over the small pores of the skin and over time blocks them, making it dull, reddish, and prone to blemishes. Choose a pH-balanced makeup remover product, to help you with the process.
9. Regular Cleaning of Makeup Brushes
It’s important to clean the makeup brushes to get rid of clogged pores and tackle infections. Here’s a washing regime that might help:
- Concealer Brushes – Weekly
- Foundation Brushes – Weekly
- Around-the-eye Brushes – Twice a month
- Other brushes – Monthly
Take a drop of shampoo onto the palm of your hand. After wetting the bristles of the brush with lukewarm water, massage the bristles so that the shampoo is applied evenly on the bristles. Rinse the brush with flowing water, squeeze it, and then cover it with a towel to remove the extra water. After that’s done, place it on a table and let it dry completely, before keeping it back.
10. Sleep Right
Getting proper sleep is one of the most important and easiest beauty tips for the face. A proper amount of sleep is helpful for the aging skin to repair and rebuild at its best. Therefore, one should make sure to get at least eight hours of sleep, every night.
