Bambi Does Beauty (@bambidoesbeauty) boasts over 301,000 followers on TikTok, where she shares “a less is more approach to beauty.”
She posted a photo of herself during an acne breakout before speaking candidly about how she restores her skin.
“How I fade my pigmentation after acne and spoiler alert you don’t need hundreds of dollars to do it,” she said.
“There’s no bigger skincare ick than finally getting rid of a big bad boy spot just for it to leave pigmentation behind.
“That breakout I showed you was two weeks ago and I’ve been applying this serum every morning since the breakout.
“I mean this one is almost completely gone,” she said showing an acne scar above her top lip.
“It usually takes months for them to go.”
Bambi held up Glow Hub’s The Scar Slayer Facial Serum, which costs $21 on the brand’s website.

It has a 4.5-star rating and glowing reviews from happy customers.
The product description says, “an acid serum to target pigmentation, scarring, and dark spots left over from breakouts.
“Use daily. AM +/or PM (we think morning is best).
“Apply after your toner and before your moisturizer.”
Bambi used her hands to apply the serum all over her face.
“It’s a vitamin C serum but it’s also got tranexamic acid in it and the combo of those two together is like the pigmentation fader,” she said.
“I’ll wait until my spots have calmed down and almost gone completely flat.
“Just that red mark left, it’s not like a raised bump.
“Then I’ll go in with this in the mornings.
“It’s like a really lightweight gel texture and your skin just goes [slurping sound].

She held up Glow Hub’s The Barrier Builder facial serum, which also costs $21.
“I bang on about this so much,” she said.
“It’s like a veil of juicy comfort blanket for sensitive skin.”
Bambi said the “affordable serums” are her favorite products from Glow Hub as she tagged the brand in the caption of her post.
“Glow Hub are the next big thing in skincare,” she added.
Thousands of viewers liked the video and many took to the comment section asking for more skincare advice.
The product recommendation comes after an article by Healthline cited a study into how tranexamic acid can lessen the appearance of discoloration after acne breakouts.
Tranexamic acid also improves skin tone and reduces sun-related redness and dark spots.
Studies show vitamin C can help to reduce redness and swelling related to acne when used topically.
