A 60-YEAR-OLD woman credited her youthfulness to a popular $14 Amazon buy.
She explained that she’s tried many anti-aging beauty treatments but none have shown such effective results.

The Florida-based reviewer, under the name “The Mayor,” said that she was “obsessed” with the entire line of Medix 5.5’s lotions and body/facial washes that were just $14 each.
The popular skincare line with over 18,000 five-star reviews contained 12 different bundles to pick and choose from, all of which she had tried.
“I’m 60 but take good care of myself and people usually think I’m 10-15 years younger than I am,” she said.
“I do have some age ‘tells’ though that if you look closely would give my age away. And these lotions are making those go away.”
As a skincare enthusiast, she added that she’s tried many things but was shocked when the lotions beat out her more expensive name-brand cosmetics.
“I have spent tons of money over the years and am a product junkie and I’ve never found anything that works better on my face – yes my face(!) or my body than Medix 5.5 lotions,” she said.
Her first buy, the Collagen and Peptides lotion, was what kickstarted her “love affair” with Medix 5.5.
“All the lotions are loaded with dimethicone which fills in all the lines and plumps skin and it is amazing. Spackle for skin,” she joked.

“Anyway after just a few days, my reasonably deep forehead lines (age tell) are way less deep. Noticeably.”
She added that she was simply happy to be “slowing down” the clock but was pleasantly surprised to see wrinkles disappear altogether.
“My skin is baby butt smooth and any alligator lines are gone,” she said.
“There isn’t really a smell aside from the normal lotion smell. This stuff is amazing! Do not be afraid to use these on your face. The ingredients are safe, gentle, and effective.”
Due to retinol allergies, she used the brand’s retinol lotion as a body treatment, which in retrospect, was a wise decision.
“I figured in a body lotion surely it’s not too strong. Well, I put it on my body at night (retinol and sunlight don’t mix and I’m a Florida girl) and woke up needing a Benedryl,” she said.

“There’s a good amount of retinol in there. Lol. No bad smell and I wish I could use this on my face but I do skim it on my legs lightly once a week or so.”
Her picks among the others she’s tried were the argan oil and vitamin E, the hyaluronic acid and cica extract, and the vitamin C and turmeric, although she noted that the latter two had an intense smell.
The hyaluronic acid smelt strongly of rose while the turmeric lotion’s scent didn’t fade even with body spray.
“But it works like it should so I will keep using this one (only at night because Vitamin C and sunshine don’t mix either),” she said.
“[It] has helped a lot with my brown spots on my hands and chest (another tell). I haven’t used it too much out of love for my husband sleeping next to me but I can see a difference.”
For those who prefer a more fragrant option, she recommended the coconut oil and manuka honey.
“This one smells fabulous! Like the best coconut tropical suntan lotion but it’s not overpowering and sadly it fades quickly,” she said.
“The lotion is good just like all of them although I don’t think it makes as big an impact as some of the others.”
