Beauty fan Maria was left overjoyed when she tested out the Aldi buy – which she claimed left her skin feeling ‘lovely’.
Not only this, but the bargain hunter also shared that the affordable product didn’t irritate her eyes, leaving her very impressed.
Thrilled with the dupe buy, Maria took to social media to show it off to other users.
In the short clip, Maria compared the Lacura rose cleansing balm to her pricey alternative from Ella & Jo.
She said: “Let’s put the Aldi cleansing balm to the test.
“This is my usual cleansing balm that I use which I absolutely adore. It does not irritate my eyes at all.
“I’m going to try the Aldi one on this [left] side of the face and my usual one on this [right] side of the face.
“I switch between Ella & Joe and Elemis – which I think this is a dupe for.
“A dupe is always a bone of contention because obviously ingredients and quality and stuff are different but at the end of the day, if you can find something a bit cheaper that does the job, why not give it a go?”
We then saw Maria massage the balms into either side of her face, as she advised: “Always massage a cleansing balm into dry skin then remove with a warm, damp, clean cloth.”
As she used the Aldi product, she explained: “This side feels pretty similar, it is a little bit grittier.
“I hope it doesn’t irritate my eyes and it takes off my mascara easily.
“As always, warm damp cloth and this is a muslin cloth that I’m using.
“I always double cleanse so I will go in again.”
Once she had removed the balm, Maria claimed: “No irritation on the eyes. Skin feels lovely.
“If you see this, grab it.”
She later confirmed: “The quality of the ingredients differ but if you are looking for an affordable balm, it does the job!”
So if you can’t justify spending £48 on the pro-collagen rose cleansing balm from Elemis, or if the Ella & Jo melt the day away cleansing balm’s £36 price tag sends shivers down your spine, you’ll be thrilled to know that Aldi’s alternative is just £6.99.
Thanks to this cheap buy, your skin will enjoy some seasonal rejuvenation.
The soothing and scented balm works its magic in a matter of seconds and is suitable for all skin types.
And for those looking to save cash where possible, you’ll be pleased to know that it’s £41.01 cheaper than the posh Elemis alternative, and £29.01 cheaper than Maria’s Ella & Jo buy – saving you cash, without needing to scrimp on your skincare routine.
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @_nospringchicken, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up 140,700 views.
