The Danish former world No1, given a wildcard for the US Open, won her first three matches at Flushing Meadows.
And that has set up a mouth-watering last-16 showdown between the part-time ESPN analyst and No6 seed Coco Gauff.
2018 Australian Open champion and Rory McIlroy’s ex Wozniacki, 33, made the call to return to tennis in June after three years out of the sport, in which time she had two babies with her ex-NBA husband David Lee.
And that late decision meant she is wearing her sponsor adidas’ standard US Open leotard kit – but she has ditched the chance to add the flowing pleated skirt like most of her fellow stars.
The German brand produced a gorgeous figure-hugging royal blue number – with Wozza accompanying it with a black jacket that can transform into a bag.
Wozniacki opted to complete the look with her jewellery including a Rolex watch, a Cartier bracelet and gold and diamond necklaces with her kids’ names Olivia and James on.
The glamorous and popular tennis star is delighted with the look – and appreciates it is very ‘out there’.
Wozniacki said: “I mean, it’s the US Open. Why not?
“I think that’s my motto at the moment.
“At this point we may as well make a statement. I think that’s where I’m at.
“Because I didn’t let many people know for a long time, it was kind of a last-minute, ‘All right, let’s go for it, let’s try this one.’
“I think it’s cool. Yeah, this outfit was a last-minute thing from adidas. I think it’s really nice.”
And the look has certainly gone down a storm with her adoring fans – although some cheekily compared it to a wet suit, wrestling outfit or cycling lycra.
One said: “we love what Wozniacki is wearing out there.”
Another wrote: “I just need to say Wozniacki’s outfit is so good.”
And a third added: “Caroline Wozniacki coming back to tennis, having had two babies, wearing this bodysuit, and winning against Petra Kvitova. That’s it. That’s the tweet.”
