Alison Hammond has hit back at a cruel troll who sent her a message on social media after her Celebrity Bake Off appearance on Sunday night.
The This Morning presenter, 49, took to X after one viewer baselessly called her a ‘nasty piece of work’ and she was flooded with support from her followers for calling the troll out.
The Bake Off viewer tagged Alison and wrote: ‘I imagine@AlisonHammond is a real nasty piece of work now, started to beleive her own hype.’
Publicly replying to the post, Alison called the accusation ‘nasty’ and urged the social media user to be kind.
A day after the post was published, Alison replied and wrote: ‘Why is that I’ll be having a lovely day and then someone who doesn’t know from Adam writes such nasty message.
‘Don’t @ me keep Your nasty comment to yourself #bekind always.’

Fans made it their mission to comfort Alison, as @tv_gooner took to the post and wrote: ‘I’m so sorry Alison. Keep being the amazing and kind person you are. You’re lovely as you are xx’
User @that Robster agreed and said: ‘Surely they tagged the wrong account because absolutely no one thinks that!!! You just spread joy.’
‘We love you Alison bab, keep shining queen,’ wrote @sophierhi13 while @darylshaw29 added: ‘Don’t think you have a bad bone in your body ! Most loveable person ever. Keep being you, you absolute Queen.’
One fan @woodenyoulove summed up the outpouring of love and commented: ‘The comments speak for itself Alison. I think you are fab! xx’

This is not the first time Alison has had to content with online trolls. When she joined This Morning in 2020, taking to the sofa alongside alongside Dermot O’Leary, it was reported she was having duty of care meetings with ITV after being bombarded with hate online.

Josie Gibson showed support for Alison following this barrage of abuse, as she said: ‘I can’t believe some sad little sadsacks can be so vile to one of the most talented, infectious, caring, insanely hard-working, and one of the most beautiful souls on the planet.’
A source told The Sun at the time: ‘As a result of Love Island and Jeremy Kyle tragedies, ITV are very serious about duty of care and arranged to sit down with Alison to see how she was coping.’
They added: ‘Alison confided that while the Friday gig is her dream come true, staying positive had become a battle.’
Shortly after Alison declared that she ‘won’t be bullied’, telling a fan that her ‘high self-esteem’ will keep her protected from cruelty.
She responded to a bariatric nurse who tweeted: ‘Dear Alison, please don’t put yourself through potential bullying from the public about your weight. Living with obesity/overweight is a disease and deserves proper NHS support.
‘There is support out there from expert clinicians with professional registration, psychological support, medication and surgery are all options. They can be really effective with lifestyle change. You can do it. You are strong. You can inspire. Go for it.’
Alison quote-tweeted the post and added: ‘I know sweet heart and thanks for the advice.
‘I will never be bullied by anyone as I suffer from really high levels of self esteem, so don’t you worry I’ll be fine.’
