MANCHESTER UNITED legend Paul Scholes questioned the substitutions made by manager Erik ten Hag in the draw versus Chelsea.
The former midfielder turned pundit took issue with the second half change that saw Jadon Sancho withdrawn for Fred after 52 minutes with the game goalless.

Scholes was left unhappy at the defensive decision in a clash that he believed Man Utd could have won.
He told Premier League Productions: “The subs were a little bit strange today.
“I thought Fred coming on when he did for Sancho didn’t really help the game.
“I thought [Bruno] Fernandes lost a bit of control of the game he had to come out to the left-hand side and wasn’t in the game as much.”
United dominated the early stages with Fernandes playing a key role before Chelsea boss Graham Potter made a tactical sub bringing on Mateo Kovacic for Marc Cucurella and they began to perform better.
The Blues scored via a Jorginho penalty given away by substitute Scott McTominay but Casemiro equalised late on with a brilliant header and the match finished 1-1.
Ten Hag’s tactical adjustments may have been criticised by Scholes but he still praised the Red Devils despite wanting more.
Scholes said: “They [Man Utd] were good for half a game, they were really good and probably deserved to win.
“You think of Chelsea being at home, did they do enough to win the game, I really don’t think they did.
“I think there’s progress going to a big team and getting a point is progress [but] you’d like to win those games, of course you would.
“There will be bigger tests ahead, going to Anfield, going to Arsenal, going to these better teams. It’s now a big test for them to take that next level.”
Ten Hag also saw positives praising his team’s spirit after the match as well as standing by his choice to axe Cristiano Ronaldo from the squad.
