And the chance to be the main man at St James’ Park to help spearhead the Saudi revolution could lure Bale into a move to Tyneside.
Speaking on behalf of Betfair, Rivaldo revealed: “I think he [Bale] could even stay in Spain if a good offer arrives from a club with European ambitions.
“But the most likely scenario should be a return to England to a league he knows well, but that is also more demanding than any other.
“I definitely wouldn’t rule out a move to Newcastle as I think there is a chance they might convince him to return to the highest level as one of the stars of the team next season, in what will presumably become a very interesting squad.”
Toon splashed close to £100million on five new signings in January, with the spree set to continue in the summer.
And Rivaldo reckons Bale still has plenty left in the tank before he decides to hang up his boots.
After all Bale’s former Madrid colleague Cristiano Ronaldo is still finding the back of the net at the tender age of 37.
Rivaldo continued: “At 32 years-old he can still play for some time if he wishes to follow the steps of others like Cristiano Ronaldo, Thiago Silva or even myself.”
An injury hit campaign has seen Bale make just five appearances in all competitions for Real this season.
In total he’s played 256 times for Los Blancos since joining from Spurs in 2013.
He spent the 2020/21 season back on loan in North London, scoring 11 goals in 20 appearances during his emotional second coming.
