GEORGINIO WIJNALDUM has been named Ligue 1 ‘Flop of the year’ – 12 month after his glamour move from Liverpool to PSG.
The Holland midfielder has gone from Kop mainstay to bit-part player with Mauricio Pochettino’s runaway champions.

And ‘by a wide margin’ the 31-year-old topped a poll of 100,000 fans voting on the biggest failure in the French top-flight.
The ex-Newcastle hero never played a full 90 minutes for PSG in more than two months at the end of the season.
And after admitting he ‘wasn’t completely happy’ early in his PSG career, Wijnaldum is now worrying about his World Cup place this winter.
The ex-PSV Eindhoven and Feyenoord star played in 22 of PSG’s 38 Ligue One matches after they beat Barcelona to his free transfer signing last summer.
But he never fully recovered from Pochettino preferring to pair Idrissa Gueye with Marco Verratti at the start of the campaign.
Now, though, Pochettino too is tipped to depart, despite regaining the title by 15 points from Lille.
It’s even claimed the former Tottenham manager has ‘agreed a severance package’.
As for Wijnaldum, his future in the French capital also seems in doubt – despite having two years left on his contract.
And Wijnaldum was said to have been the comfortable ‘winner’ – although PSG might now feel they were the losers in signing him.
