Tyldesley-born Toone, who is known for her trademark false eyelashes, had been left reeling when they all fell out in the lead-up to Sunday’s final at Wembley.
But after helping end nearly six decades of footballing hurt, she is eyeing up a new set and a well-earned knees-up abroad to celebrate making history.
Toone said: “I fly straight to Ibiza today. I’m going to get home and get my lashes done, then Ibiza. I’m going for a week, I think, I don’t know — I don’t know what day it is!
“I don’t think I’ve had any hours of sleep. I don’t think any of us have.
“I got my lashes done before the tournament and they fell out, then I was at the final with no lashes.
“It was a nightmare. I’m actually really gutted. My nails have come off, too.”
Toone put England ahead in the final with a peach of a chip over Germany keeper Merle Frohms. And they wrapped up the win when Chloe Kelly poked home in extra-time.
There is no doubt the Lionesses, with their perfect ponytails, have inspired millions of girls across the country as they lifted their team’s first-ever major trophy.
The historic win pulled in a peak TV audience of 17.4million on BBC One, making it the most-watched women’s football game on UK television of all time and the most-watched programme of the year so far.
Toone added: “That’s what we set out to do in this tournament… make the nation proud, fight for women and get young girls involved as well.
“And I think we’ve done that for every single woman in this world.
“It’s crazy. Now we’ve seen what the whole outside world has been saying, it’s crazy.
“We’re not in our own little bubble any more, we’re off on our own paths now and I’m just over the moon.
“It felt unreal to hug our loved ones. They’ve been on this journey with us and it’s hard we haven’t been able to celebrate with them after games so it was worth the wait for that hug.”
