Many fans took part in a pitch invasion to celebrate – something the Milan ultras seemed to take offence to.
As fans tried to leave the pitch following the invasion, a group standing by the exit began to violently slap and punch people who went past.
The thugs could be seen hitting their fellow supporters with severe force.
Some of those who were struck were hit totally unawares as they tried to celebrate their side’s crowning moment.
Italian ultras are renowned for their passion but there have also been serious issues with violence and racism.
The incident overshadowed what should have been a time of pure elation for Milan supporters, who pipped their local rivals Inter to the title by just two points.
Pitch invasions have also marred the English game in recent weeks, with various incidents across the country.
Billy Sharp was the victim of a headbutt from a Nottingham Forest fan after Forest beat Sheffield United on penalties to make it to the Championship playoff final.
Meanwhile, Aston Villa goalie Robin Olsen was also “assaulted” by fans when Manchester City won the league on Sunday.

The Sun told today how three off-duty cops were caught on CCTV invading the pitch after Bournemouth secured promotion to the Premier League.
The spate of incidents has seen SunSport columnist Piers Morgan call for severe punishment for idiots who act out.
