Travelling tomorrow? Brace yourself, as more train strikes are upon us.
Industrial action is coming from Aslef tomorrow (May 31) amid long-running disputes over pay and issues such as jobs and modernisation.
Aslef represents around 96% of UK train drivers, so lots of services will be cancelled on Wednesday.
Tomorrow’s strike will be followed by action by the RMT on Friday, June 2, and more action by Aslef on June 3.
So, which train lines are due to be affected, and will your train be cancelled?
Here’s all you need to know.

Avanti West Coast has advised customers not to travel on Aslef strike days, as trains won’t be running.
It says: ‘Please do not attempt to travel on Avanti West Coast on May 31, and June 3 as we will not be running any services on our routes.’
For RMT’s strike day on June 2, it advises: ‘Please check your journey before arriving at our stations.
‘Our timetable will change significantly and fewer trains will run on strike dates, so your entire journey may be severely disrupted.’

Chiltern Railways trains will not run at all on Aslef strike days on May 31 and June 3, with limited services on June 1 and 2.

CrossCountry will not be running trains on May 31 or on June 3 and will be running a limited service on June 2.

Don’t travel on May 31 or June 3, says EMR, as no trains are in service on these dates.
As for June 2’s RMT strike, the operator says: ‘On Friday 2 June we will be operating a significantly reduced service. Only travel by rail if absolutely necessary and if you do travel, expect severe disruption. EMR services will run between the hours of 0730 – 1830 only.
‘Services will start later and finish earlier than usual. Please ensure you check the time of the first and last return train before you travel.’

Off to the airport? Well, Gatwick Express is not set to run on Aslef strike dates on May 31 or June 3.
On June 2, the Gatwick Express will be running but limited. Its website states: ‘The railway will operate limited opening hours with services starting later and finishing much earlier than normal.
‘Some routes will finish earlier than others, and some stations will not be served at all. Please check your first and last trains carefully, as there will be no alternative travel outside of these services.’
Great Northern is also warning customers that there will be no trains on May 31 or June 3 – with limited trains on June 2.

Great Western Railway is set to have very few trains running on May 31, June 2 and June 3.
You can view what routes are in service on the GWR website.
Greater Anglia warns passengers that there will be reduced frequency running on some lines on May 31 and on June 3 with most train lines not running at all.
Trains will start from 7am with last trains ‘operating until mid to late evening and finishing earlier than normal.’
On June 2, some services will operate at a reduced frequency but most will run as normal.

On May 31 there will be an hourly Heathrow Express service from 7am to 7pm.
On June 3 there will be no services running.
LNER will run a reduced timetable on all strike days.
This includes the London King’s Cross to Edinburgh route, with first departures much later than usual and last departures much earlier than usual.
LNER adds: ‘We will be running a reduced service on all dates.
‘Customers already booked to travel on these dates will be contacted at least five days in advance with their travel options.’
London Northwestern Railway will not operate train on May 31 or June 3.
There’ll be a limited service on June 2, on a number of routes operating between 7am and 7pm.
Expect one train per hour on routes to London Euston and Liverpool Lime Street from Birmingham New Street.

Northern Rail is also not running any trains on Aslef strike dates May 31 and June 3.
A limited service will run on June 2 for RMT’s strike day, with some stations closed due to limited services.
On May 31 and on June 3,there will be a reduced service between London Waterloo and Chessington South; Dorking; Hampton Court; London Waterloo via Hounslow; London Waterloo via Kingston; Reading; Shepperton; Twickenham; Weybridge; and Windsor & Eton Riverside.
There will also be a reduced service in the Romsey area and there will be no service on the Island Line.
On June 2, large parts of the Network will be closed.
If you are travelling, South Western recommends you check its journey planner for timetable information.
Southeastern will not be running trains on May 31 or on June 3.
On June 2 there will be a limited service running, with only 58 of 180 stations open at all.
Trains will likely start later and finish earlier, and any early morning services that are running will be busy, so be aware that you may be unable to board your desired service.

On June 2 there will be a limited service on Southern, as it says: ‘The railway will operate limited opening hours with services starting later and finishing much earlier than normal.

There will be no Thameslink trains running on May 31 or June 3, while a limited service will run on June 2.
TransPennine Express be running no trains on May 31 or on June 3.
On June 2, there will be a limited service running with five local services and four semi-fast services running from Manchester Piccadilly to York, six local services and three semi-fast services running from York to Manchester Piccadilly and five services running in both directions between Preston and Manchester Airport and Sheffield and Cleethorpes.

Anyone hoping to travel on West Midlands Railway on May 31 should be warned that there are no services running tomorrow or on June 3.
On June 2 there will be a limited service on a number of lines.
Note that strike dates can change or be cancelled at short notice, and that you should check the National Rail website and your train operator’s website for the latest journey updates before travelling.
