“Punter Could Win Over £1 Million from £5 Cheltenham Festival Bet”
A BETSLIP going viral online appears to show a punter standing to win over £1MILLION from a £5 Cheltenham Festival punt.
A snapshot of a phone screen shows two more horses need to win for the punter to land £1,151,851.74.
It is not clear if the bet is genuine, but if it is it shows a punter standing to win over £1million from their £5 Festival acca
The first of those horses is Shishkin in today’s Ryanair at 2.50.
The second is Galopin Des Champs in Friday’s Gold Cup at 3.30.
The incredible punt appears to include seven horses in all, with five already having won.
Honeysuckle was the first of the apparent bets to come in when landing the Mares’ Hurdle in emotional scenes on day one.
Gaillard Du Mesnil got lucky in the final race on Tuesday, the National Hunt Chase, when Mahler Mission, who looked certain for victory, fell late on, gifting him the race.
Langer Dan won the Coral Cup for trainer Dan and jockey brother Harry on Wednesday – sparking tears of joy from yard worker Amber.

And should this apparently genuine bet come in, the punter will almost be on a par with what Tony Bloom took home yesterday.
The Brighton and Energumene owner left Prestbury Park with £1.2m after putting £400,000 on his horse to win.
