EVEN if you’re having the best first date of all time, discussing how you’re going to split the bill is ALWAYS going to be awkward.
That said, one relationship expert has insisted that men should always pick up the tab – and sensationally claimed that women would make judgements about their date’s upbringing if they don’t cough up.

Earlier this week, dating guru Nelly shared a piece of advice with her 624,000 TikTok followers.
In a viral clip, Nelly sensationally claimed: “Men should never let a woman pay for a first date.
“If you’re asking a girl out and then going Dutch, it just shows you’re cheap, you weren’t raised right, you’re not chivalrous and you’re dating outside your price range.” Yikes.
The social media star said men who are strapped for cash should plan more low-key dates – rather than asking their romantic interest to, you know, actually pay for what they ordered.

She continued: “Instead of trying to flex at a nice dinner, you’re better off taking her on a picnic in the park.”
What’s more, the dating expert even went on to claim that “even the most progressive girls do mind” if they’re asked to split the bill.
“It’s not because they can’t afford it but because it shows us YOUR character,” Nelly added. “If you’re a girl and you’re paying for first dates, I’m here to tell you that he ain’t it sis.”
Needless to say, Nelly’s video sparked fierce debate in the comments.

One exasperated man replied: “Women: if he doesn’t pay, he’s cheap. Also Women: don’t judge us for expecting men to pay, we’re not gold diggers.”
“Lol what,” another wrote. “Whoever asked the other person out should pay for the date.”
“I would rather pay for myself,” one woman replied. “Then there are no expectations.”
Siding with Nelly, a fourth claimed: “It has nothing to do with the money or buying someone’s time.
“It’s simply tradition – like holding the door open or being polite. Especially if they had been invited.”

And the unusual way scorned woman confronted bloke for cheating with multiple women on their anniversary has been hailed ‘genius’.
Plus this woman hit back at people who claim she catfished her husband as she put on weight after they got together.
