DONALD Trump Jr. retweeted a post calling Black Lives Matter a “Marxist terror-group” after two police officers were ambushed and shot in Compton and BLM activists chanted “we hope they die.”
The president’s son shared a post showing two officers in Compton getting shot after an ambush early Monday morning that was later shared by former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino calling the anti-police brutality activists dangerous.
“BLM is a Marxist terror-group that uses violence and destruction to advance its racist agenda. They’re a clear and present danger to liberty and freedom,” read Bongino’s tweet that Trump Jr. later retweeted.
The Los Angeles Police Department has offered a $100,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the shooter, as the department says the two officers are clinging to life following the point-blank shooting.
When ambulance arrived at the hospital and attempted to bring the officers into the emergency room, Black Lives Matter demonstrators crowded the entrance and chanted “I hope they f–ing die,” “death to police” and “kill the police.”
Trump Jr’s comes after his father bashed the shooter and called for the death penalty.
“If they die, fast trial and death penalty for the killer. Only way to stop this,” Trump said. He continued and said the shooter was one of many “animals that must be hit hard.”
Local law enforcement equally hit back hard against the shooter as many local elected officials like Representative Adam Schiff expressed condolences to the officers and their families.
LA Mayor Eric Garcetti condemned protesters for chanting outside the hospital, saying “there’s no place in civilized society for anybody to draw an arm and to shoot our law enforcement officers that put their lives on the line,” he said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”
“And I won’t ever let a couple voices that not only are uncalled for, but it’s abhorrent to say something like that when we have two deputies, who are sheriff’s deputies, in grave condition,” he ended.
