Chaos in Long Branch, New Jersey, after hundreds descend for TikTok beach party and fights break out in sweltering heat
A CURFEW is in effect tonight in Long Branch, New Jersey after an alleged TikTok party drew hundreds to the area in the sweltering heat.
The curfew is in effect through 5am on May 22, according to the Long Branch Police Department, after footage from the scene shows people fleeing amidst screams and sirens.

In a statement announcing the curfew, police cited “public safety concerns.”
“During the hours of the curfew, all persons are prohibited from using, standing, sitting, traveling or being present on any public street or in any public place,” the statement continues.
The Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office released its own statement via Twitter after the “large scale event,” saying, “non residents need to leave the area.”
No injuries have been reported, though police and first responders have reportedly arrived on scene.

A large party was reportedly being held at Long Branch Beach and at Pier Village.
The party may be the result of a social media advertisement for a “Beach Linkup.”
The ad calls for people to bring their own liquor and weed. The top of the promotion reads: “Dareeq Smith the 3rd presents the first Beach Linkup 2022.”
The party started at 12pm but had no given end time.
“Tell a friend to tell a friend!,” the bottom of the promotion reads.
Footage shared by attendees shows a chaotic scene as fights break out.
Other videos taken at the scene and shared on Twitter show herds of people fleeing as sirens are heard in the background.
Some residents even reported receiving alerts about police presence in the Pier Village area.
This isn’t the first time a party like this has been held in the Long Branch area.
Last June, a similar event was held, resulting in a large scale police response.
