If you love nothing more than drinking mimosas and gorging on eggs with friends at weekends, there’s a new job that should be on your radar.
One company is on the hunt for some ‘brunch testers’ to find some of the best spots in the UK – and will even pay these people for their time.
Online platform Psydro is looking for a team of 10 individuals to test out 120 venues – offering complimentary food and drink, plus £1,000.
This is so they can use the reviews to form a list of the ‘100 best bottomless brunches.’
Chosen individuals will be asked to review one brunch every weekend for three months – from June 31 until the end of September. They will have to report on level of service, quality of food, range of menu, environment and overall experience – as well as rate each venue out of five.
Psydro has stressed that applicants must have strong English writing skills – in order to create a comprehensive report on each brunch.
Food and drink costs will be covered for the tester and a friend, but only the former will be paid for their services.
Anyone looking to apply can do so via the website before May 31 – but individuals must be over 18. Applicants will also have to write a short summary of why they’ve got what it takes to be a bottomless brunch tester.
The Psydro team explain that the whole point of this project is to identify the best brunch spots in the UK, while supporting and recognising hospitality venues.
Tony Ward, founder of Psydro, said: ‘As lockdown eases here in the UK and people flock to pubs and restaurants across the country, venues will be desperate to make sure they take advantage after a tumultuous twelve months.
‘However, with the hospitality industry closed for such a long period of time, many people simply won’t know where the best venues are for their needs. Which is why, in part, we’ve decided to create a definitive list of the best bottomless brunches in the UK.’
