BRITAIN is set for a frosty start to Friday, with dry but cold with temperatures of 4C giving a taste of a long winter ahead.
Friday morning will start on a cold note for the UK as a whole, while most places will remain dry – expect for the odd shower.
It comes after the Met Office warned of rain and frost over the coming week due to “nagging” winds.
Aidan McGivern, Met Office Meteorologist, said: “Significant changes in the weather are on the way from Monday so let’s focus on the first four days for now because that’s relatively straight forward.”
“A few showers around yes but also plenty of bright days and chilly nights heading into the weekend,” he added.
