ISRAEL ADESANYA is back in action tonight in the main event of UFC 263 – which also includes Nate Diaz’s return to the Octagon.
Adesanya, 31, suffered the first loss of his career fighting up at light-heavyweight at UFC 259, and has dropped back down in weight to defend his UFC Middleweight title in a rematch against Italian Marvin Vettori.

Hooper is losoe early but is still being somewhat Laissez-faire with his defence.
The Dream fends of a guillotine attempt from Peterson and but is continuing to engage the 31-year-old in grappling exchanges.
Hooper is on his back and throwing up multiple submission attempts. The 21-year-old, however, has eaten his fair share of strikes on the ground.
Peterson’s submission defence has been impressive. Huge shot lands for Peterson just before the buzzer. Hooper looks wobbly as he walks back to his corner.
Peterson comes out strong early doors and is loading up with big shots.
A big overhand right lands for Peterson.
Hooper looks to land a takedown but sees his attempt to ground the fight stuffed.
Simpson lands a series of elbows before letting Hooper back up.
Hooper is being relentless with the he has body lock on Peterson, who is defending the transitions well.
Hooper loses position and eats more elbows. And they’re back to their feet.
Takedown for Hooper, who has transitioned to a heel hook. Transition to a calf splicer.
They trade submission attempts before the buzzer. Thoroughly entertaining round.
FEATHERWEIGHTS ON DECK
Up next is a 145lb bout between Dana White’s Contenders Series alum Chase Hooper and Steven Peterson.
This fight will be Hooper’s first since teaming up with striking phenom Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson.
Let’s see how his stand-up looks after a few months training in Simpsonville, North Carolina.
Vendramini has hurt Ziam early doors and is going in for the kill.
Ziam is on his back fighting for his survival. Ziam has managed to tie up Vendramini in half guard.
But the Brazilian has slipped into side control. He briefly moves into the before being shuffled back into half guard control.
Arm-in guillotine attempt by Vendramini, who gives up on the submission attempt.
Ziam weathers the storm and they’re back to their feet. Let’s see how he responds after that adversity.
Ziam is struggling and has eaten another big left hand. The Frenchman is well and truly on the defensive.
Vendramini secures double underhooks just before the buzzer.
Huge round for BJJ specialist, but will it have been enough to warrant a 10-8 round and secure a draw?

Vendramini is pouring the pressure on early, giving Ziam very little room to breath.
A good left hook lands for the Brazilian, who follows up with a big overhand right.
Ziam has re-established his preferred range, kicking Vendramini at bay with his long jab and lead hook.
Vendramini shoots for a takedown. It looks deep. Ziam, however, stuffs the attempt to ground the fight.
That’s got to be disheartening for Vendramini.
The buzzer goes. I’ve got Ziam up by two rounds.
They come out swinging early doors, with Ziam immediately taking the centre of the octagon.
The Frenchman looks to be the looser and more relaxed of the two, mixing in plenty of feints between his jab attempts.
A sharp left hook lands for Ziam, whose striking has so far been a sight behold,
Vendramini is having a real tough time closing the distance. The Brazilian closes out the round with a head kick attempt that just narrowly misses the target.

Up next is a 155lb showdown between Fares Ziam and Luigi Vandramini.
WAR OF ATTRITION
The first result of the night is in.
Brazlian Carlos Felipe has come out of the lone heavyweight of the evening victorious, defeating Jake Collier via split decision.
The judges scored the fight 29-28, 28-29, 29-28 in his favour.

Tonight (this morning) promises to be an entertaining card filled with title fights and grudge matches.
Israel Adesanya’s middleweight title defence against Marvin Vettori headlines the promotion’s seventh pay-per-view card of the year.
