WHAT to name your little one is the first decision you’ll make as a parent – and it’s arguably the most important.
After weeks (if not, MONTHS) of agonising, most mums and dads-to-be finally have to settle on a compromise – and by this point, the grandparents rarely get a look-in.

Well if you’re still deciding what to name your baby, then you might want to steer clear of these popular monikers – which have been voted the “most hated” by grandparents.
A survey by Mumsnet and Gransnet found that grandparents dislike the name Aurora the most – despite the fact that it was the third most popular in 2020.
But while you could argue that it’s simply a too modern for the older generations, the study also revealed that grandparents dislike the traditional names Charlotte, Jack and Tabitha too because they think they’re “too old”.
What’s more, a whopping 20 per cent were left disappointed that their name suggestions didn’t make the final cut.

Mumsnet founder Justine Roberts said: “Choosing a baby name is fraught enough for parents when you’re only taking into account your own views.
“If you add grandparents’ biases to the mix, it can become impossible.”
