Spice Girl Emma Bunton made whopping £6 million from the band’s reunion gigs

THERE’S no such thing as Too Much for Emma Bunton.
I can reveal she made almost £6million from the Spice Girls’ reunion tour last year — more than her bandmates Mel B, Geri Horner and Mel C.

Emma this year set up the companies Monsta Touring Limited, which has now showed earnings of £4million, and Monsta Productions Limited, which coined in £1million, with another million in a pot all the girls share.
But of course, there are downsides to earning so much cash, as Baby Spice Emma was hit with a £750,000 corporation tax bill. It didn’t make too much of a dent, though — with almost £3.2million still left in the touring company’s pot.
An insider said: “Emma’s not just a talented singer, she’s a shrewd businesswoman.
“She set up the two new companies for the tour earnings and the paperwork has shown just how hugely successful this has been for her.

“Emma and the girls also banked £4.5million for the tour in a group company run by all of them, so she also made just over a million from that.
“While the tour was massively lucrative, the best bit for Emma was just being back on stage with her bandmates, which she absolutely loved.” I think Emma is great, but I can’t lie — the cash would be the cherry on the cake for me.
They didn’t all earn the same but the ladies are laughing all the way to the bank just the same, with Geri making £3.1million and Mel C raking in £2.8million.
Mel B’s earnings have yet to be revealed, but she will have banked well over £1million.

Even Victoria Beckham, who failed to be a part of the reunion, made a pile of cash. We revealed in June how Posh Spice was paid almost £1million without singing on the tour.
Emma is raring to get back on the road and, along with Mel C, is the driving force in getting the band together again next year.
She said of a future comeback: “Hopefully there are still some quite exciting things coming from the Spice Girls.
“Fingers crossed we can do some more shows. We would love to do more live stuff — international shows would be a dream.”
I’m sure their accountants feel the same . . .
OLLY Murs has stripped off to celebrate his act Blessing Chitapa winning The Voice UK – just as he did when he won it last year with Molly Hocking.
The ITV show’s coach was good for the promise he made before Blessing took the stage, as he posted the shot on Instagram, inset, while taking cover behind a coin strung up in the foreground.

And he’s not the only one over the moon, as Blessing said they had become pals.
Blessing – who sang James Bay’s Hold Back The River with Olly in the weekend’s final – said: “He is carrying on his role of mentor even now. I thought maybe the advice would stop when the show ended.
“He told me, ‘This is where the real journey begins’, and said I had to get my head focused. It was the boost and motivation I needed.”
This year’s series was hit hard by the pandemic, with bosses forced to stop filming then remove the live audience. But Blessing revealed all the acts made the best they could of being on the show – which also featured Will.i.am, Sir Tom Jones and Anne-Marie, who stepped in for pregnant Meghan Trainor.

A highlight for Blessing was being guided by Ellie Goulding, who Olly asked to help him during the knockout stage.
She said: “I was wondering who Olly would select. When I found out it was Ellie I was so happy. I used to listen to her when I was younger and she inspired me on my musical journey, so to meet her didn’t feel real.
“I had gone from singing to my parents to singing for Ellie. It was like, ‘Oh my God’.”
WINNIE Harlow is top of the crops after getting this new pixie hairdo.
The Canadian supermodel showed off her lockdown locks on Instagram over the weekend.

Ever the professional, Winnie revealed her new look with a variety of props to hand – including her basketball star boyfriend Kyle Kuzma’s NBA championship trophy and, randomly, a piglet.
While plenty of stars have been enjoying some downtime during the past few months, Winnie has been busier than ever.
Last week the model, who has vitiligo, an autoimmune disorder that causes patches of skin to lose pigmentation, confirmed she had teamed up with sportswear brand Puma to launch a new range, Forever Luxe.
Showcasing her collection in Vogue mag, Winnie explained: “I like to wear something that will allow me to feel comfortable during the day. That I can wear to the gym, and go on with my day.”

Music therapy

A RAFT of top stars have signed up to support Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy and be a part of its Christmas service.
Sir Cliff Richard is leading the stable of talent, which also includes Florence Welch, right, The Kaiser Chiefs, The Script frontman Danny O’Donoghue and OneRepublic.
The Stars Come Out To Sing At Christmas, which features performances and readings from the stars, is free to watch but fans can make a donation to Nordoff Robbins, a charity, which helps people affected by life-limiting illness or disability through music.
The show will be available to stream online at carols.nordoff-robbins.org.uk on December 15 at 7pm. I’ll be tuning in for sure.
SHE sang about being Hot Right Now in 2012 and eight years later Rita Ora is still in demand.
The singer’s latest deal with JD Sport – which sees her fronting its Christmas campaign – has earned her a hefty six-figure sum.

It’s just one of the new big-money campaigns she has bagged in the past year, including those with homeware retailer Terrys, phone company EE and fashion brand Shoe Dazzle.
An insider said: “Rita’s a force to be reckoned with in the music industry but when it comes to her personal brand she’s priceless. Companies are clamouring to work with her and the cheques they’re signing will make sure she’s sitting pretty for a long time.
“Her latest contract with JD Sports has landed her a decent six-figure sum, while she signed off easy money deals for ads on social media including with EE and a second collection of her homeware range.
“Rita has more than 22million com- bined followers on social media and because of her image everyone wants to work with her.”
Rita is one of the nicest – and talented – women in the business so she deserves every penny she gets.
Sam’s back
SHE has been teasing new music and yesterday noughties pop star Samantha Mumba confirmed her comeback.
The Irish singer posted a clip on Instagram to reveal that her single Cool will be out on Nov- ember 27.
HER feet won’t have touched the ground since she made music history on Friday, so it’s good to see Kylie Minogue taking a seat.
The pint-sized pop star not only landed the biggest opening week of any release this year with her 15th record Disco, she also became the first female solo artist to have No1 albums in five consecutive decades.

Kylie took a moment to look back over her success yesterday and posted this sultry snap of herself in a black gown with a cut-out section on her thigh.
She captioned the Instagram photograph: “What. A. Week.”
I couldn’t have summed it up better myself.
FOO FIGHTERS finally returned to the stage on Saturday night after Covid scuppered their plans to mark the band’s 25th anniversary.
The legendary rockers fronted by Dave Grohl, pictured, played the Roxy Theater in West Hollywood and streamed it live to all their fans around the world.

The band played their smash hits including All My Life and Everlong as part of the 90-minute, 12-song set and lead the audience at home through a singalong to their 1997 fan favourite My Hero.
Calling them to join in with him, Dave said: “Sing here by yourself to your iPad. If that feels awkward, imagine what it’s like being on this stage pretending there are people here.”
The band will release the album Medicine At Midnight on February 5.
Welcome back.
