BEST Buy and Levi Strauss are facing a boycott from some customers for offering employee counseling over Kyle Rittenhouse’s not guilty verdict.
Users took to social media to slam the companies after news broke that services were being offered to employees who felt distraught over the case.

“@BestBuy is actually offering counseling to employees for the jury getting the verdict in the Rittenhouse trial correct. They just lost a long standing customer in me,” one Twitter user wrote.
Another slammed Levi’s: “The race for most woke company marches on and I can no longer buy 501s, which I have worn for 40+ years. These idiots destroy everything.”
Levi’s reportedly offered employees a session with a “racial trauma specialist,” while Best Buy offered “mental health resources” and “counseling services.”
Another Twitter user hoped to hit Best Buy in the wallet for the offer.
“@BestBuy just found out about ur memo on the Rittenhouse verdict to ur employees, in response I cancelled the $2500 Macbook on order n the appt to have stereo work done on my truck $1100 n there’s more like me [sic],” they wrote.
Kyle Rittenhouse, 18, is a teenager from Illinois who opened fire on Black Lives Matter protesters on August 25, 2020.
But Rittenhouse was found not guilty on all charges on November 19, 2021, after a three-week trial.
Kenosha was in the midst of several nights of protests after a white police officer shot Jacob Blake, who is black, in the back during a domestic disturbance.
The shooting left Blake paralyzed from the waist down.
WHY WAS RITTENHOUSE IN KENOSHA?
The teenager said he had made the journey to Kenosha as he worked there, his father lived there, and he felt like he was part of the community.
The teen’s trial led to stark division across the US, and his acquittal led to outrage for many who felt the move will embolden like-minded vigilantes.
He claimed he wanted to safeguard property from the unrest and offer medical assistance to protestors, saying he was only armed in case he needed to defend himself.
Rittenhouse sobbed in court while describing the moment Joseph Rosenbaum allegedly ran towards him.
He shot and killed the 36-year-old at close range.
Then, as members of the crowd set upon him, he killed Anthony Huber, a 26-year-old protester seen on video clubbing Rittenhouse with a skateboard.
Rittenhouse then wounded Gaige Grosskreutz, a 27-year-old protester and volunteer medic who admitted pointing his own gun at Rittenhouse just before he was shot.
