The Counting On star shared a still on Instagram from a YouTube video chronicling the renovations on their new home.
Fans flooded the comments with congratulatory messages for the most part, though some sought the opportunity to share hateful messages for the couple.
One such critic commented: “Awe! What a nice gift from your daddy….” with an emoji rolling its eyes.
Much to the commenter’s surprise, and that of Jessa’s fans, the TLC personality responded.
“That is so stupid and an outright lie,” Jessa wrote.
The comment was out of character, but fans seemed to love it, with one writing: “Man @jessaseewald don’t play y’all! Don’t @ her!!”
Jessa has been clapping back at fans more frequently as of late.
The mother of fur recently ripped “haters” and their “sad lives” after she was criticized over a video with her children.
She addressed the backlash in a YouTube video.
As December came to an end, Jessa shared a sweet clip of her four kids opening Christmas presents on YouTube ahead of the Duggar holiday party.
The video, which ran for almost 17 minutes, kicked off with Jessa explaining: “We thought it would be fun to set aside a day before all that to do our own little group.”
She went on to say: “We’re going to open some little presents.”
Jessa and Ben are parents to sons Spurgeon, five, and Henry, four. They also have daughters Ivy, two, and Fern, four months.
Not long after she posted the video, fans claimed she was sharing it to “distract” from brother Josh Duggar being found guilty on two counts related to child pornography.
In the comments of the video, Jessa addressed her haters directly.
One comment read: “Reddit is psychoanalyzing your YouTube video. They really like to reach over there.”
According to a post on Reddit, where the exchange was reshared, Jessa replied: “Yes, sad life they must lead!
“Haters gonna hate, but I don’t pay any attention to all that mess.
“Life goes on, and we’re seeking to live it to the fullest!”
It all started with a comment on the YouTube video that read: “We know Jim Bob got you out there distracting us sis.”
The troll went on: “It’s okay. We love you. Jessa, you are so pretty.”
Jessa responded: “This is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard” with a laughing emoji.
She went on: “But thanks for softening your rudeness with a compliment.”
Josh was found guilty in early December.
He was taken into custody immediately.
The eldest Duggar boy was arrested and charged in April with receiving and possession of child pornography.
The former TLC star could face up to 20 years in prison on each count.
He is expected to be sentenced in around four months.
Josh’s lawyers are expected to appeal his case.
Jessa released a statement from her and her husband shortly after the verdict came down.
In an Instagram Story, the couple wrote: “From the moment we learned of this case against Josh we have prayed that God would cause the truth to be made known, no matter what it was, and that the facts would be followed wherever they lead.
“We are grieved beyond words over the children exploited and abused in child sexual abuse material, and we are thankful for our justice system in its punishment of such evils.”
The statement concluded: “Our hearts break for Josh’s family and we ask your continued prayers for them in the unfathomable grief and pain they are enduring.”
The Counting On alum called the claim ‘stupid’ and ‘an outright lie.’
Fans were, for the most part, happy for Jessa and her family
