“Here’s some tips to help you out whilst charity shopping,” she said.
Firstly, Monica advised keeping “your eye out for simple pieces like white vests and plain black tops”.
“(These are) pieces you can layer all the time. You’ll get loads of wear out of them and you can find them at amazing prices.”
Next, Monica said it’s worth having a good look around the blazer and coat section of the pre-loved stores.

“This is where I’ve found some of my favourite pieces,” she explained.
“You can find some incredible vintage blazers – look at this United Colours of Benetton matching suit, only £20.
“One of the things I love the most about buying second hand is finding things of really really high quality, and that’s what I love about charity shopping.”
When you’re searching the shelves, keep your eyes peeled for “iconic fabric and prints”.
Holding up a pair of Burberry capri trousers – with the famous check lining the inside – she explained: “Look at these Burberry capri trousers, these were only £10.
“Unfortunately they weren’t my size but I love them.
“I’m really jealous of whoever gets to find these and wear them because they are just so fun and perfect for summer.”
MONICA’S TOP TIPS FOR FINDING A CHARITY SHOP BARGAIN
1. Look out for simple basics. White tops, neutral tops, anything for basic layering.
2. Never miss out the coats and blazer section. I have found some of my favourite pieces in this way.
3. Be on high alert for iconic prints and fabrics.
4. Look out for occasion wear such as sequins, silk, fascinators and big dresses.
5. Make sure to browse through the denim. Good quality denim will stand the test of time and thus, ends up in charity shops.
It’s also worth taking the time to have a good look around the occasion wear section of the charity shop.
“This top I found for £3 and it was 100% pure silk,” she continued, holding up a black and silver sparkly number.
“Quite often when someone attends an event they only wear the outfit once and donate it to charity.”
And lastly, Monica suggested looking through the denim section for long-lasting pieces such as Levi jeans.

“I’ve found so many pairs of Levi jeans – you can always customise them or have them altered,” she said.
“And look – £8 for a pair of Levi’s.”
