You can’t go wrong with an espresso martini.
It’s a firm cult favourite, and seriously impressive if you can whip one up at a dinner party.
But now that we are deep into festive season, why not give this classic tipple a Christmas twist? Think warming spices, orange, mint or cinnamon – nestling deliciously alongside coffee and vodka.
Your party guests will love it. And the best news is – they’re really easy to make.
The experts at Exhale Coffee have shared two super simple espresso martini recipes with a festive twist – why don’t you give them a go?
Kaspar’s Espresso Choose-your-Chocotini
Whether it’s a sneaky Terry’s Orange or cheeky After Eight, this is one sweet treat for the tastebuds – no fancy coffee liquors are needed, it’s just the chocolate giving the sweetness:
- 50ml of melted choc of choosing (approx. 3 segments of Choc Orange or 2 After Eights)
- 50ml of coffee (double espresso)
- 50ml of vodka
Bain-Marie (melt in a glass bowl over a pan of water) the chocolate, add a splash of water when it’s hot, making a lovely choc syrup.
Pour all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with a handful of ice.
Shake like your life depends on it to get the foam. Strain into a chilled martini glass.
Garnish with choc of your choice and sip away.
Kirsty’s Espresso Festivitini
A simple twist on the classic – and it only takes minutes to put it together:
- 50ml vodka
- 25ml Kahlua
- Exhale Coffee double espresso
- ¼ tsp ground ginger
- ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
Pour all your ingredients into a shaker with a handful of ice.
Shake it, shake it, shake it!
Once the foam is on point, strain into a chilled martini glass.
Time to enjoy your festivitini.
