HOLLY Willoughby and Peter Andre have led the celebrities posing in Christmas Jumpers for this year’s Save The Children campaign.
The charity have an annual celebration of festive jumpers; encouraging Brits to wear their favourite winterwear to help raise money.
Holly leads the celebs promoting this year’s Christmas Jumper Day
This year’s Christmas Jumper Day will take place on 11 December, and the celebs have got in early to help promote the occasion.
Holly opted for a black knit with a sequin-embellished Christmas pudding taking centre stage.
The 39-year-old star beamed at the camera for her snap as she spoke out on the “magic” of Christmas.
She explained: “Christmas is the most magical time for us at home, and we make it a yearly tradition to get cosy in our jumpers and open our presents.
Peter went all out with fairy lights and a Santa hat
“This year, I am thrilled to be back supporting Save the Children to raise funds for those children who are in need.
“I would encourage everyone to get involved and rock their own festive knit this Christmas Jumper Day.”
Peter, 47, threw himself into the festive spirit as he posed in not alone a robin-adorned jumper, but with fairylights draped over his shoulders and a Santa’s hat as well.
He said: “My Christmas jumpers are always over the top, I love lights, tinsel and plenty of colour when it comes to my festive knit.
Nicola swapped the glitz of Strictly for a cosy knit
“The kids are such a big part of Christmas and I’m so lucky that I get to spend it with them. I hope everyone can get involved with Christmas Jumper Day this year and donate £2 to Save the Children.”
She enthused: “I’ve always been a fan of Christmas Jumper Day and you just can’t help but smile when you see people getting in to the festive spirit with a great Christmas jumper.
Meanwhile, Alex Scott added tinsel to remind her of her Strictly stint last year
“It’s such a fun way to help children around the world and it’s so easy to just donate £2 and you can really help change lives this Christmas.”
And 36-year-old Alex Scott, who took part in last year’s Strictly, is making up for her absence from the BBC One show with plenty of glitter and sequins.
She explained: “I’ll be missing all the glittery fun of Strictly this year, so will be adding extra sparkle to my Christmas jumper instead and taking part in all the festive fun on Friday 11th will be a good substitute!”
Jaimie Winstone has also joined the campaign
As has Bake Off’s Liam
The annual fundraiser is organised by Save the Children, and is a campaign in which people are encouraged to wear their best Christmas jumper.
Christmas Jumper Day was launched in 2012, and always falls on a Friday a week or two before Christmas Day.
This year’s will take place on Friday 11 December 2020, with participants encouraged to don their favourite Christmas Jumper and donate £2 to Save The Children in the process.
