Kenneth didn’t know when he would see his wife of 71 years Betty again due to the current coronavirus restrictions.
In the clip, the 96-year-old can be seen walking through the door with his zimmer frame before bursting into tears as he sees his beloved wife sitting at a table.
He then steadily makes his way over to his wife.
Kenneth, wearing a white t-shirt and a vest jumper, then holds out his arms ready to give his 91-year-old wife a hug.
Betty can be seen sitting at a table that has been decorated with heart-shaped balloons and roses.
The Platters’ 1954 track “Only You” can be heard playing in the background before the couple share a hug.
The song was chosen because Betty had been isolating in the care home due to Covid-19, but Kenneth didn’t know she was there.

Alongside the clip uploaded to Twitter, great granddaughter Charlotte, from Redditch penned: “My granddad went into a care home five weeks ago and my nan couldn’t live without him so he decided to move in, and the care home did this for them – my actual heart.”
She revealed that both of her great grandparents have seen their health deteriorate since their daughter passed away on August 14 last year, Mail Online reports.
The care home also posted the footage on Facebook.
They explained: “After a month of living apart, Kenneth did not know when he would see his beautiful wife Betty again due to Covid-19 and current restrictions!
“Betty made the decision to move in to Bourn View and be with her husband but first had to isolate!
“Kenneth had no idea Betty had moved in and today the two of them were reunited at a surprise meal!
“Betty perfectly put it, they are now back ‘Together, Forever’.”
Staff cheered and celebrated the couple’s reunion.
There wasn’t a dry eye in the house as one Facebook user commented: “So lovely to see in such sad times I’m crying but with happiness and joy and peace for this lovely couple (sic).”
Another posted: “Absolutely beautiful and inspiring story. God bless them both!”
A third said: “Oh god, I am in absolute bits… how lovely. What I would give to hold my Nan again.”
