DRUNKEN comedian Rowland Rivron was torn off a strip by BBC bosses after exposing himself to posh To The Manor Born actress Dame Penelope Keith.
Rowland had been invited to a Christmas function by pals Rik Mayall and Ade Edmondson after the success of ground-breaking comedy series The Young Ones in the ’80s.
Lise Mayer — who wrote the show along with Rik and Ben Elton — said Rowland got “completely drunk”.
The evening ended with him flashing to Penelope, who played aristocratic Audrey fforbes- Hamilton in sitcom To The Manor Born and snobby Margot Leadbetter in The Good Life.
Rowland said he cannot remember what happened, but the incident meant they were barred from similar events.
The story unfolded on UK Gold documentary How The Young Ones Changed Comedy.
Lise, 62, said: “We got invited to the BBC Christmas party which was a huge event and very exciting for us.
“Rowland and Ade got completely drunk and the entire party was just a nightmare of trying to stop anything too disastrous happening.
“It culminated in Rowland getting his k**b out and showing it to Penelope Keith, I think.”
Rowland, 62, admitted: “It’s difficult to remember precisely what happened. But there were a lot of places we weren’t allowed to go back to. I like to think Rik was to blame.”
Rowland, who appeared in one episode of The Young Ones, became a TV and radio host.
