Mark, 57, explained that the pandemic impacted production of the ITV favourite.
Chatting to the Daily Star, he said: “We filmed so much during the latter part of lockdown they’ve got loads so we’re getting to the point there’s too many.
“They had to shut down for a year once because they had so much in the can.”
Mark explained that the programme has to put filming on hold after accumulating a back-stock of episodes.
It comes after ‘The Beast’ opened up about his jaw-dropping nine stone weightloss.
While on GB News with his girlfriend Hayley Palmer, the father-of-one revealed that his meal sizes have reduced significantly since his weight loss.
The 57-year-old weighed 29 stone at his heaviest, but after a serious health scare, following a type 2 diabetes diagnosis, he completely changed his life and started his healthy weight loss journey.
Mark lost an impressive nine stone throughout his journey by reducing his sugar intake.
When asked how he lost the weight, the TV star said: “It was a combination of so many things Covid etc. I had it a couple of times, which suppressed the appetite.
“My wife was working at the local hospital, which meant I was looking after our son, and you suddenly realise how tough it is. I’m just not that hungry anymore.”
The quiz king recently wowed when walking hand in hand with partner Hayley, 42, who looked stunning in a red dress.
The pair dined at the Oxo Tower restaurant in central London.
Dad-of-one Mark, split from his wife Katie three years ago and has since confirmed dating rumours with Hayley earlier this year.
