Simply pop on your BBQ and let the ceramic stone do the work (Picture: Aldi)
If all goes to plan, we could be able to entertain our loved ones in our gardens in the not-too-distant future.
And after most of a year where we couldn’t do so, it makes sense that many of us are prepping for a show-stopper.
Back in 2018, Aldi released their BBQ-top pizza ovens for the first time, and the nation was hooked.
The handy device sits on top of your grill, with the inner stone warming up ready to cook a delicious freshly-made pizza.
Aldi says on their website: ‘Portable with two carry handles, this barbeque pizza oven can be used on gas and charcoal barbecues to cook pizzas of up to 12 inches easily and effectively.’
Allegedly, you can make a pizza in as little as 10 minutes (not including all the kneading, of course).
Alternatively, you can use the ceramic stone to cook meat or fish without it falling through the holes in your grill.
The oven is £39.99, and is currently out of stock, as eagle-eyes shoppers spent hours in an online queue on Sunday when it was released.
Rest assured, though, Aldi has confirmed it will be back in stock soon as they receive more.
Either check your local store when you’re in for your shopping or regularly refresh the web page to grab one online.
Similar models on Amazon will set you back at least £70, while a freestanding pizza oven in a chiminea style costs £120 from Wilko.
If you don’t manage to get your hands on the Aldi one, though, this Argos version will do the exact same job and for the same price.
If the need for BBQ pizza sweeps the nation as much as it has done in the last few years, they’ll probably sell out too. Then it’ll be a few takeaway slices to impress your guests.
