A ‘sexy’ black Shein bodysuit has attracted ridicule online for looking like ‘Borat’s mankini’.

Hundreds of Facebook users have commented on a post with a picture of the Plus V-bar High Cut Bodysuit that was shared on Sunday.

The photo shows a model wearing the bodysuit, which has long sleeves and is cut to expose half of her torso on either side and half of her bum.

For just £9.99, this bodysuit could be yours.

A Facebook user clocked this, erm, interesting piece on Shein’s website and shared it in a shopping group on the platform, captioning it: ‘What is this!?’

Even people who haven’t seen the first Borat movie will likely recognise the stand-out yellow ensemble the title character wore.

It didn’t take long for the post to get plenty of joking comments, along with Borat comparisons and shocked and laughing face emoji reactions.

One person wrote: ‘Hello bacterial vaginosis.’

Another commented: ‘High cut? That’s cut so damn high it’s practically flossing her teeth,’ while yet another said: ‘Honestly, I can see the pain in her eyes. Poor lass.’

And yes, the item drew comparisons to Borat’s famous beachwear, with one woman tagging her friend and writing: ‘You did mention that you wanted a Borat costume!’

The bodysuit, which is made of 95% Polyester and 5% Spandex, is described on the China-based company’s website as ‘sexy’ and appropriate for ‘spring/fall’.

If the comments are anything to go by, it could be a good one to wear at the beach too.
