A CRAFTY woman has revealed how she transformed a pair of black Asda slippers into £300 Gucci dupes.

However, as sought-after as they might be, the brand slippers are priced at a whopping £290 – which is not an affordable option for most, especially as Brits face £1,000 fall in income.
Luckily, one savvy fashionista has revealed how she transformed a pair of £4 Asda slippers into these designer dupes using just some piece of fabric and a bit of glue, The Mirror wrote.
According to the mum, who owns an online shop named Belle’s Bonnie Boutique, she bagged a pair of basic black sliders from Asda for less than a fiver and then grabbed a Gucci dupe fabric.
The floral fabric, which Leanne sells through her business for £2.50, was then attached to the band of the black sliders using Gorilla Glue.
”Just me turning £4 Asda sliders and £2.50 fabric into £300 sliders.
“It was so easy anyone could make them,” the mum described the project which cost her a total of £6.50.
The cheap cost means that if she wanted to, Leanne could easily afford to make 44 pairs of her dupes and still have some change to spare.
Fellow fashion lovers were blown away by how good the end result looked, with many of them saying they’ll be placing an order with the crafty mum for the fabric so they could try recreating the look for themselves.
One fan commented: “I’m so doing this!”
While another viewer added: “I love these.”
Leanne isn’t the only person to have found ways to save money on shoes by making dupes, as one woman transformed her Primark heels into fake Louboutins with paint, saving over £500 in the process.
Jordan-Leigh, who is from the UK, took to TikTok and explained how she revamped a cheap pair of nude heels from Primark to look just like the pricey designer shoes.
In response to her eager social media followers who were desperate to know how she achieved the designer look, she revealed that “angelus red acrylic leather paint” from Amazon was her secret.
She told how she simply dipped a brush into the £4.99 tub and painted it on the sole to achieve that very iconic look.
