According to colour theory, blue is associated with feeling of calm and tranquility, evoking images of clear skies and peaceful seas.

The exact shade you choose can offer a more dramatic feel, with the likes of indigo contrasting nicely against the bride’s white dress. A lighter, more grey-toned blue is best if you prefer a muted palette, while periwinkle and cornflower feature hints of lilac that are beautiful for summer weddings.
