Rollins earned a huge win (Picture: WWE)
Seth Rollins stood tall at the end of Raw after winning a high stakes Ladder Match to become the next challenger for Big E’s WWE Championship.
At the top of the show, Sonya Deville confirmed plans for a blockbuster main event between Rollins, Rey Mysterio, Kevin Owens and Finn Balor, with the winner being the new Number One Contender.
Each of the former world champions came out to stake their claims for Big E’s title, and things descended into a brawl when Seth attacked KO.
This wasn’t anything particularly innovative, but the opening segment did exactly what it needed to do by confirming a huge match involving four new arrivals from SmackDown.
The main event itself was absolutely spectacular as four future Hall of Famers battled in a entertaining and brutal Ladder Match with one goal in mind.
With a contract for a title opportunity hanging high above the ring, there was plenty to fight for, and some huge moments as everyone involved made sure this was something special.
Mysterio got sent through a table with a huge powerbomb by Owens, but he was sent through a ladder with a powerbomb himself, this time at the hands of Rollins.
A stomp from Seth to Balor was enough to help him secure the win, and the trash talk after the bell gave a hint of what’s to come from the visionary’s feud with Big E.
Both men are incredibly charismatic and can deliver on the mic, while the in-ring action is guaranteed to be top notch.
Biana Belair challenges Becky Lynch, Damian Priest snaps at T-Bar and more
The first match saw the teams of Alpha Academy, the Dirty Dawgs and the Street Profits clash in a great bout to determine the net challenger for RK-Bro’s Raw Tag Team Titles.
Omos interfered to take out Montez Ford, leaving Angelo Dawkins struggling, and eventually a Fameasser and Spinebuster combo was enough to earn Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode the win.

They didn’t have to wait long to get their championship match, as they battled Randy Orton and Riddle later in the night.
It was another fantastic match, with RK-Bro picking up the win to keep their reign rolling, although it would have been nice to see them feud with Dirty Dawgs a little longer before beating them.
Elsewhere, Zelina Vega was the embodiment of confidence as she celebrated her Queen’s Crown win and promised to be a monarch exuding generosity, beauty, cruelty, love and fear.

She was interrupted by Doudrop before a rematch of the tournament final, with the Scottish star dominating her rival before an exposed turnbuckle pad distracted the referee and allowed her to hit her opponent with the sceptre to get the win.
Becky Lynch came down to bask in her own win in Saudi Arabia, trashing Bianca Belair before her rival came down to the ring.
The EST of WWE rightly reminded The Man that she actually pinned Sasha Banks at Crown Jewel, but the Raw Women’s Champion responded in kind and said: ‘Get to the back of the line, b***h!’

Bianca then went on the attack and got the upper hand before Lynch escaped and accepted the challenge – although the match didn’t take place on Raw.
Damian Priest – with new theme music – faced T-Bar in a so-called Championship Contender match as the two big men clashed in an entertaining sprint which ended when the former RETRIBUTION man lobbed a ring announcer’s chair at Priest.
The Archer of Infamy snapped and destroyed T-Bar, absolutely battering him and hitting the Reckoning as he showed a new level of aggression.
Liv Morgan and Carmella brought their long-running feud to Raw this week, with the latter – who was wearing her protective mask – won after Morgan turned her attention to her opponent’s new fiance Corey Graves on commentary.
Keith ‘Bearcat’ Lee looked like an absolute beast as he destroyed Cedric Alexander, and stared down his Hurt Business partner Shelton Benjamin.
Dominik Mysterio met Austin Theory in the ring after a backstage exchange, and the former NXT star was able to beat Rey’s son in a decent bout with the obligatory post-match selfie.
*WWE Raw airs Monday nights at 1am on BT Sport 1.
