HIS DARK MATERIALS returns to BBC One tonight (Sunday November 15, 2020) for the next episode of series two’s dark magic, set across multiple worlds.

Who is in His Dark Materials cast?
The BBC/HBO TV adaptation of His Dark Materials, a book trilogy written by Philip Pullman, will see most of the original cast return for the second series.
The youngster plays Lyra Belacqua, the heroine in His Dark Materials and was raised at the fictional Jordan College.
14-year-old Kean also starred in 2017 film Logan , for which she received an MTV Movie and TV award as part of the ‘Best Duo’ with Hugh Jackman.
Her mother and father are British actor Will Kean and theatre director María Fernández Ache.
Amir Wilson plays Will Parry, a secondary school student from Oxford, whose father disappeared 13 years ago.
Wilson starred in The Letter for The King and the film adaptation of The Secret Garden.
Anne Marie Duff plays Ma Costa, a Gyptian woman who previously nursed Lyra.
Duff, a Laurence Olivier Award nominee, made appearances in Trial & Retribution, Amongst Women and Aristocrats in the late 1990s.

Ruth Wilson plays Marisa Coulter, she is Lyra’s mother as well as an explorer and authoritative figure at the Magisterium.
She is know for playing Alison Lockhart in The Affair as well as Alice Morgan in the critically-acclaimed Luther.
In 2014 Wilson won a Golden Globe Award for ‘Best Actress in a Supporting Role’ in The Affair in 2014.

What time is His Dark Materials on BBC One?
Viewers can catch up with the first episode of His Dark Materials season two, which aired Sunday 8th November, 8pm on BBC One.
The episode is now available to stream on BBC iPlayer after broadcast.
Episodes will then broadcast weekly in the same slot, every Sunday at 8pm
In the US, fans will only be able to watch episodes of season two on HBO and streaming service HBO Max from Monday 16th November at 9pm (ET).
How many episodes are there in season two?
While season one was eight episodes long, following the loss of a standalone Asriel episode, season two has been confirmed to have only seven episodes.
This should cover all the events depicted in The Subtle Knife and possibly beyond.
Season three is thought to have a higher amount of episodes to adapt the third book (The Amber Spyglass) in Pullman’s original trilogy.
