News channel GB News launched in the UK on June 13 – the first new news channel since ITV News took to the air in 2000.
The channel scored a bigger audience than BBC News on its opening night, proving popular in spite of being plagued by technical difficulties in its first few days on air.
It is set to take on the likes of BBC News and Sky News when it launches ,with a line-up set to include Andrew Neil, former BBC newsreader Simon McCoy, Kirsty Gallacher and ex-Labour politician Gloria de Piero.
GB News, has promised it will bring ‘impartial journalism’ to the airwaves, with the channel’s director John McAndrew – who has previously worked for BBC, Sky News, NBC and ITN – tweeting that GB News will be ‘free, fair and impartial’ as well as ‘Ofcom regulated’.
But just how can you watch it and is it available online?
What channel is GB News on?

GB News is available on Freeview, Freesat and Sky – and which channel it’s on will depend on which service you have.
Those with Freeview will be able to access it on Channel 236, while it will be on Freesat on Channel 216.
Sky viewers can see it on channel 515, while it’s available to Virgin Media viewers on channel 626.
Details of where Sky viewers – and those with other services such as Virgin Media – will be able to access the channel have yet to be confirmed.
Can you watch GB News online?
Yes you can – viewers will also be able to stream GB News online for free via the website.
GB News can be streamed from abroad too. All users have to do is simply download the free app to tune into its programmes and watch live.
